I don't know if it can top System Shock 2, but I can't wait! System Shock 2 was more of a psychological scary, not a surprise-zombie-blood scary. Sounds delightful...

Yeah, I've been checking it about every 20 minutes :D No big deal, I'm knee deep in the dead... I mean Windwaker at the moment, so as soon as it shows up, I'll switch over. I'm fine until then. I got it next day, so it won't be any later than Wednesday. I'm kinda having fun playing from the couch at the moment. I almost started up my download again, but then thought, what's the point? I'm going to want to have it installed with my own key and all that anyway. I'd have it on for a day, and then have to reinstall.

It's Monday McNevin, if it ships tomorrow, I get it Wednesday, not Thursday. I have a feeling it will leave the warehouse tonight though. I don't really care anyway. It'll get here. And when it does, I will play it. :D Maybe I won't play it. Maybe I'll set it up on top of my monitor, and look at while I'm playing something else. Maybe I'll use it to prop something up. Maybe I'll drill holes in the discs and make a mobile. Maybe, if I had my remote desktop turned on right now, I'd resume my download of it. But, I think I really don't care. I'm going to go home, finish the forest level of Windwaker, do some jolly funtime sailing, go to bed, and then I'll either have D3 tomorrow, or the next day.

Ha Chachachacha... Safe! :D I was just saved by the demoscene. Two large and good demo parties happened over the weekend. Now I will be sufficiently distracted until tomorrow. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Also, I think Assembly is next weekend for those interested.

Those stupid EB fuqhedz!! I'd be perfectly happy if my order status changed. FuX0rS!!!

That's because you're some kind of frixy jerk! :D I'd take a copy right about now, but I think I might survive without it. I'm just too lazy to do that. The dearchiving process alone is beyond the effort I'm willing to expend anymore. I like just pulling it out of the box and installing it. Even then that's a little much. It would be nice if it was on a DVD, then I could just put one disc in. If the order status doesn't change by tomorrow mid-day, I think I'll just call in, and change it to in-store pickup, and grab it tomorrow locally.

I was going to switch to in store pickup, but i guess i dont need that anymore. I recomend you do that, because i dont think it will ship today.

The extraction process was easy as pie, especially with d-tools. Probably installed faster than using a real cdrom.

When my copy comes, i change the key in the registry, and replace the exe to normal... and tada! Ready to play.

J3rk has finally become as lazy as me when it comes to game installation...
Ah, the days of not playing until someone would install, patch, and install mods for unreal tournament so I didn't have to...

Yes... I now understand. :D Only now, I don't have anyone to do it for me. sUx0r!

Got some quality play time in on Windwaker today. Finished up the forest, flew to all the little spots around that island, and now I'm off to do some trading with the Goron traders.

Gamestop has free 2 day. Some places sold a few early, which is why people have it at all. It's not supposed to ship until tomorrow. It will either ship out from the warehouse tonight, or tomorrow morning. Mine will be here Wednesday. I'm not changing it though, that would be stupid. By the time I changed it to another place, it will already be in my hands. Like I said, I don't really care. It's going to be just as cool when I play it in a day or so. Xian Antkow (an id guy that worked on the game,) couldn't even get a copy. He went to a store to pick it up, and showed them his business card, and they still wouldn't give it to him, even though it was on the shelf behind the counter. Supposedly the id guys didn't get their completed copies yet either, though since they have access to the masters, I don't see why it matters that much. Whichever. Time to get back to my windwaking.

Oh the irony... I am eating it up.

Score one for the pirates!

Welcome back to the dark side McNevin. Someday our old pal J3RK will find the error of his ways and again see that evil will always triumph because good... is dumb.

Good luck joining the MP servers. :eviltongue:

I'm not hurting at all. I actually had it downloading, (It was around 50% done,) and then cancelled it, because as with all copied games, it's more trouble than it's worth. I don't feel like installing Daemon Tools, I don't feel like extracting, I don't feel like changing keys in the registry. Not like expected to have it before the copiers anyway. Of course they have it first, that's the way it works. I just don't feel like dealing with it.

McNevin didn't change sides either, he still has it on order. (He's just more industrious than I.) It's a game worth buying. I almost downloaded it to play it early too. I just didn't want to do the necessary things in order to do it. Not that I morally care. I still have it ordered too. You WILL coveteth my pewter demon!!

Anyway, download all you want. McNevin will still be able to play hassle-free MP when his copy arrives.

Unpacking, and burning CDs is a huge pain. I hate burning CDs. I have a 48X writer, and it still takes too long. I also hate swapping discs, which I'd just have to do again when I installed it. Or I could locate my copy of Demon Tools, install it, mount discs and install, but that's still too much to ask of me. It's too much to ask of me to install the game when I get it too. Though, I'll basically have to do that.

HEE HEE HEE.... I'm just arguing to argue.

Here is my official view. id deseves to get paid for this game, so I'll buy it. I could have it before my copy gets to me, but I don't really need to bother with that. I know it's on the way. I'm excited to play it, but it's not going to be any less exciting tomorrow. Unless I call Best Buy after they open at 10:00AM, cancel my order, and pick it up there. :D

We'll see. There's a fine line here. If my game ships before 10:00 then I can't do this. If it doesn't, then I can make sure there is stock locally, cancel, and get it. Choki can't play until tomorrow anyway, so it won't matter that his shows up then anyway. Weeeeeee!!!!

I don't know, I called them, cancelled, and picked it up at Best Buy a couple minutes ago. :D They said, it might still show up since it was packed up and ready to ship, but I can take it back to an EB around here for a refund. (Unless someone wants it.)

McNevin, they ship today for sure. After the three phone conversations I had with them, they said everything was on schedule and shipping out today. This means yours will get to you on Thursday. Choki, yours will be at mum's house tomorrow. (I'll still be out there to put dad's computer together, so let's stick with plan A.)

That's not a bunch of crap. Today is the ship/release date. You and Seth ordered 2 day shipping, so it's going to be there on Thursday. As should be expected. We ordered next day, so ours would be here tomorrow, but I cancelled and picked it up locally on ship date. :D I was expecting a limited amount of copies like UT2004, but everyone seems to have plenty of them. I only preordered to guarantee that I didn't have to wait a week for a second shipment or something stupid like that. If that had happened, I would have `// ed it up like you did while I waited.
