NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.... I don't believe you... He must have lied to you. Seth has been using that computer for too long - so long in fact that it has been accepted as a universal constant. Entire belief systems have been built upon the fact that Seth will never ever, ever, upgrade his PC. He was supposed to be buried with that machine! It cannot be!!!!! WHAT ABOUT TEH PROPHECY!?!?!??!!? WE'LLL ALLL PERISH!!!!!!!!!! PERISH THE THOUGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
... next thing we know he'll have a broadband connection, and call-waiting or at least voicemail on his phone line. He's the only person I know with a busy signal. The computer is a good step into this century. Those of us with evolving, seeing is believing belief systems, this is good news indeed.
Ya that will REALLY fricken happen...next thing you know you'll be trying to make me think that the is going to go out and get a drivers license and buy a car!!
... that's just plain not going to happen. The other parts though are in a series of possible, related events. When one happens, often the others could as well. Actually, if he got a broadband connection, he wouldn't need the phone features, because that would be one less use for the phone.
... more or less obsolete. It still has better numbers, and there are die hard SCSI fans, but I don't see the point unless you're talking corporate infrastructure.
I used to be a die hard fan. But then the technology got left in the duuuuuust. ...Or at least considerably cheaper alternatives caught up. I think Plextor's discontinuation of their SCSI line really signaled the end of the consumer market.
... Plextor was a big reason. Then other people's ATAPI drives started beating them in speed and features. Then they switched. I'm quite happy with my cheapy MSI. It works very well.
