Got them...

Post by R3C »

... a couple days ago. I have all of them on a CD. I like how they put up all MPEG files. No more friggy QuickSlime... They aren't quite as high quality, but they work. They also said they were putting up higher quality MPEGs of them. The fridge and skating ones are funny :D

"I wanna go in the fridge too" :D :D :D

You need to come over sometime over the weekend and try out the Joymaster. We were going to have dinner fun night tonight, but I'm having a frigged up day, so I don't much feel like doing anything now.

Also... thoughts have occurred about some sort of sushi night festival going on at our place in the near future. So when plans become more concrete, a press release will be made available to seattle area monkeys.

... I wouldn't classify store bought products as sushi. (More like potted fish and vegetable food product.) If you want sushi, you have to go to a Japanese restaurant. Try I Love Sushi or Kiku, or Tokyo Restaurant, or Taste of Tokyo, or SushiMan. Then you will like it. Get some Hamachi, Toro, or some White Tuna sashimi. MMMMMMMMMMMM :wasted: :wasted: :wasted:

Oh, and...

Post by R3C »

... when is this sushi night? We should get some nice Maguro and perhaps some white tuna to slice up. I don't know where to procure such items in a fresh state. Perhaps I'll go look at the Sashimi Outlet over by I Love Sushi in Bellevue.

As yet uncertain... discussions will be initiated this week probably. Why don't you try to scrape together a couple o' thousand dollars and buy us a whole maguro. That should get things moving.

Tsunami sushi is quite good... and that is available at the higher end QFC by my house... I recommend the California roll of course as well as the Orange Roll and the Seattle roll while I am at it...

Maybe you guys should organize a real sushi night over here for a few days sometime in April. The sushi is cheaper...but you might have to spend a bit more to get here.

Once again, more Sushi news.

SUSHI SAMBA on Park Ave. South in midtown is the latest New York restaurant to import the practice of eating live lobster. Called "Whole Live Lobster Sashimi," the dish involves bringing the lobster to the table, splitting it down the middle and eating it as it dies, a process that lasts about 20 minutes.

Local animal rights activists are calling for a ban on the practice, but we have a better idea: Take off the rubber bands and make it a fair fight. If the customer can get the limbs off the critter without losing a finger, then it's Whole Live Lobster Sashimi on the house. If he can't, then the lobster gets to die humanely the old-fashioned way—stuffed into a boiling pot of water.
