Where is the love???

Post by enderzero »

Wow!! This forum is QUIET!!

So let's get some new conversation goin, huh?

How about them Black Eyed Peas? That new album Elephunk is about the best I've heard from them. I dig, I dig. Where is the Love is an especially head bobbin Hip Hop anthem.

What Hip Hop are you listenin to these days? I have been rockin quite a bit after a hiatus for a while.

Number one on my list - the badass mofo RJD2. This DJ is tight! And everything he touches is good. Just check out Soul Position if you don't believe me. Best hip hop album of 2003.

Also, ch...ch...check out Cunninlynguists for some real flava. You won't be sorry.

Who else...who else is hot? I am in to People Under the Stairs, and have also been checkin out Prefuse 73. Both tight acts.

If you missed out on Sage Francis's 2002 release Personal Journals, do yourself a favor and pick it up.

Anyone heard Aceyalone's latest, Love & Hate? I gotta grab me that.

Who else you got in rotation?

just the same old same old...........

The Fire Theft-what is there to say?

The Postal Service/Give Up. Wonderful album co created by Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie fame. Great chilled out bleeps and bloops with highly visual lyrics. Just great music.

Jeff Buckley/Mysterious White Boy (Japan bonus Cd) Some really good live cuts from this master. Mixed quite quietly, although that could just be the copy that I got.

Handsome Boy Modeling School. I wish Prince Paul and MC Paul Barman would release something soon.

Not too much else in heavy rotation.......the normals.......SDRE, NOFX, JEW, Portishead, SOAD, Breeders......

I've been spinning a strange mix lately, all on frequent rotation:
Some of Tom Petty's B-sides blues stuff; the new Outkast album; Sufjan Stevens; And You Will Know us by the trail of the dead; the Shins; Blood Brothers; Murder City Devils (why'd they break up?); old Radiohead stuff (pre-Kid A for some reason). Something for almost every occassion I guess.

to mention the Outkast CD.

Pure unadulterated genius, particularly on the Andre disc.

How the hell does Andre3K make stuff like this sound so good?

How the hell did he make me want to shake my ass like a polaroid picture?

Genius.

whaaaaat...

I was so dissapointed they released "where is the love" as their 1st single. Its gotta be the weakest ballad on their album... totally unrepresentative of the rest of the other good songs.
