The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Beautiful and extremely fun.

Mappy Featuring Mewkies as Naughty Folks and Nyamco as Boss the Big Bit... Of all the games that feature a mouse who repossesses stolen goods while running away from pink kittens and occasionally opening and closing doors, this is probably the best.

Ocean: that looks like it could potentially be an excellent productivity "enhancer. " Where would one go looking for this "Aerostyle?"

I didn't think of the glory that is video game screen shots along with the reviews...

Since returning to the eastern capital I have been playing Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow on the GBA emu. Pretty damn awesome. More like The Playstation Castlevania than the normal hack and slash adventure. In Aria of Sorrow you accrue experience points, buy and sell weapons, and possess new skills from vanquished enemies. You are also required to trace back and forth across the same castle once new skills are acquired. Highly recommended for fans of the series and anyone that likes a good non-linear side scrolling adventure.

BTW - Goemon, yes Tecmo Bowl does rock. Does that mean you want a rematch?

Robotron 2084...

Post by R3C »

... a compelling look into the future, in which the player must save the last human family from the evil robotrons. The psycadelic flashy robo-graphics, and insane synthetic sounds will pull the player into total immersion. Using two joysticks (If you're lucky and have arcade controls,) you can walk in one direction while firing your robotron eliminating projectiles in another. The action is perfectly balanced, and the learning curve is exactly as it should be. This game requires cat-like reflexes in order to progress to the more difficult levels. These levels are where the REAL action takes place. Larger robotrons with tank tracks, large brained human-zapping alien-bots, and warping, homing robots abound, as the player fights to preserve humanity. Rescue Dad, Mom, and Junior to rack up the large point totals. Can any of you monkeys come close to J3RK's high score of 155,000? Only time will tell. Now get blasting!

:D

Robotron is my favorite arcade game of the early 80s vintage. Just wait until I review Jumpman and Wizard for the C64.

Over.

One Must Fall 2097

Released: 1994
Published By: Epic MegaGames, Inc.
Developed By: Diversions Entertainment
Platform: DOS

Not as good as this one?

What was the PC fighter with like a blue, a red, and a yellow fighter.

Was that the GTE interactive game? If not what was that. I'm kinda foggy in the early PC fighter catagory.

They've been making a new 3D OMF game for the last few years. It's been eargerly anticipated since the original 2D (1994) one was so fun. Well, it absolutely sucks in my book. Utter trash. Did you ever play or see that robot fighting arena game that I tested for Real at DDI? The one where you buy upgrades, then go into the arena and fight? Well it's like that with some DX9 effects, some bad music, stupid looking characters, badly designed fighting robots, etc. etc. etc. Granted, I didn't play it all that long, but there was nothing about the first few minutes that made me want to. Usually a fighting game needs to be cool from the start. It's not like there's a huge progression and RPG like world to interact with. There's just fighters, and an arena. How hard is it to make something like that fun? They could go the Tekken route, the Star Gladiator route, the DOA route, or the Virtua Fighter route, and at least have a somewhat playable fighter. Even if it wasn't better than those games, people could still like it because they enjoy those too. Eck... Bleh....

I liked the old 2D one in the 90s. It was fun. It had cool music, it was the only truly playable fighter on the PC at the time. It was fairly different. This other one is uninspired rubbish with netplay.

I don't think I ever "played" FX Fighters, but the box, if I remember correctly, clearly depicted an all red guy fighting and all blue guy in comic book style. At least that is how it is depicted in my head. Google image search turned up no box artwork.

FX Fighter...

Post by R3C »

... was 3D 320x200x8 alien fighting. With a cat, mantis, and perhaps some robots or something like that. All weird, and kinda fun for the first couple plays. Then quickly boring.

The Red Yellow Blue game was a game we got off a BBS. (In the 2400bps era.) It was called One Must Fall, but not 2097. 2097 was all Robots with MOD music, and pre-rendered 3D. (2D playing field.)

There is a C64 and Amiga game called International Karate with a Red Blue and White guy. With all three on the screen at once. (Very fun!!) It's the one where you kick bombs and block bouncing balls with a shield for the bonus rounds.

Junk Fighter is a game that I'm making up right now as I go along, with a couple pieces of junk that you hurl toward your opponent in a circular ring. The pieces bounce off the walls depending on the substance they are made of. The fighters are half shark-alligator half man. One of them is named Mr. Gerbik. Blah... Blah... Blah...

I'm working on a game called Broken Rake Fighter. You fight as either a broken rake handle or a Gundam. I think we all know the outcome though.

Don't forget the bonus round with the visual studio.net ball.
That's the second-funniest part.
