Seen any good movies lately?
My movie watching in Japan is pretty much limited to what I download (Jay and Silent Bob is still in the theaters here) - but that is quite a bit.
Recently saw and absolutely loved Old School. Damn hilarious. Will Ferrell is an absolute comedic genius. His improv is out of control. Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson are awesome as well.
Also saw 25th Hour. Definitely a movie that makes you think. Ed Norton gives an Oscar caliber performance but the plot has some weak points. I love the long rant about New Yorkers in the middle.
The Hours was interesting, but wouldn't be my pick for Best Picture. I haven't seen The Pianist or Chicago, but liked both Gangs and Two Towers more.
Right now I am working my way through the 1980 TV mini-series version of Clavell's Shogun. I loved the book and was really excited to download the series. So far it has not disapointed. The actors and settings are perfect and the story is of course great.
So what have you seen lately?
Anyone see the Jason Lee movie A Guy Thing? How about Daredevil?

I loved the 25th Hour, that rant in the bathroom was excelent. Ed Norton is great and Philip Seymour Hoffman was good too.
Ive seen alot of bad movies lately, but they were all free, so i cant complain.
Daredevil = Lame
The Ring = Lame
Rules of Attaraction = Depressing
Stealing Harvard = Not to bad
Friday after Next = Better than next friday, but needed Chris Tucker
Abandon = Not to bad
Catch Me if you Can = Great
Serving Sara = Lame
Road to Perdition = Long but Good

Philip Seymour Hoffman was excellent! But didn't you think his role was a little confused? What did that character bring to the film? I love the scene where he and Barry Pepper are overlooking ground zero. Finally a movie that directly addresses it. I have a buddy that was there, watched the towers fall. It has been pretty interesting to discuss it with him.
Philip Seymour Hoffman - or - John C. Reilly: Best Supporting Actor in Hollywood?
Hoffman was so good in Punch Drunk Love. Anyone catch that?
Reilly was great in The Good Girl. - Anyone?
