WTF! Thunderbird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I downloaded all sent messages from my webmail account.

I created a folder inside thunderbird called sent and changed settings to place copies in that folder.

I archived the sent folder


All sent messages are now gone...


I look on the system drive where the archives are stored and a sent archive exists but no idea how to get into it.

There is a hidden directory called "AppData" where the mail is stored that I can only access from the CMD window and it doesn't even show up when I do a dir...WTF?
