TEAM FORTRESS 2!!!!!!!!!

Post by mistasparkle* »

What's up doodz. Long time no speak.

Thought I'd pop back on here to see if you are all as smitten as I am with the new Team Fortress 2 Beta.

I am like a crack addict with a pile of rock sitting in my living room.

Do any of you have steam IDs? Up for a game?

My steam ID is MonkeyBizniss.

teh 3ndar?

I'm all steamed. I decided to wait for the release though. I've been completely engrossed in BioShock in what little spare time I have. I do plan to pick it up though, so I'd love to start a game when I have it.

Teh SHI+EEEEEIT!!!11

jme beeeph and I got our game on yestaday. Goddamn this game is fun. Some of the most MP fun I've had in years. Worth every penny already and this is just the beta. I love the game balance. I am certainly no game god but sometimes I am on top and sometimes on the bottom. We gotta get our munkeeez clan goin.

I'll be happy to hop in, but I'll wait until it's released. (it will give me time to finish up the other things I'm playing)

Ok, I've got it installed on a couple of computers now, so I can play sometime soon. I haven't played it online yet, just my standard create a server, and get used to things thing.

It is pretty damn forgiving to just hop online and start messin around. I've come across some good players for sure but none who completely dominate and very little stupid DM style attitude. I hope this continues into the release.

It doesn't impact the playability muchl, but I wish they had added some destructible environments, maybe rudimentary physics as well. I find it funny that they don't allow windows to break or barrels to be tossed, etc. when it's using the source engine. No big deal, but interesting. With cartoony graphics, it would be fun to have some over-the-top-ness to it (within reason.) That aside, it seems like fun. I've only played one round with humans so far, but it was fun. I need to decide which class I like. I usually prefer quick characters (like the scout) but I don't really like the scout. They need a light machine-gun class. (perhaps some sorta-ops with machine-gun and explosives) Anyway, it will be fun to play a real game of this, so let me know when. I can host, or we can hop on a larger server.

I like the scout a lot. The sniper is great too. His little submachine gun can do some damage. Been playing with the demoman a bit more too.

We should def get a game goin. This is certainly one fo the those games that the more players the better - but maybe we could organize some kind of 3 on 3. Not sure how that would go.

:D

I think the doctor is ok. I hate the scout. He reminds me of all the smug/cocky tech staff in popular suspense movies (I'm thinking something like Enemy of the State, (or the like.)) Too many catch-lines (and not very good ones, high-voice (though not as high as all the voice-chat dorks I'm hearing,) etc.)

On the subject of voice-chat dorks... I've never had the displeasure of hearing them before. All the other games I've played either required it at both ends, or didn't include the feature at all. This is the first time I've heard the people I'm playing with. They're worse than the voice actors in Evil Islands (for those unfortunate enough to have installed it, and played it for the two minutes it took to decide that the acting was too bad to play any further.) I couldn't believe how stereotypical dorkish they all sounded. I mean, we're a bunch-o-nerds of some kind, but not anything like these ones. <- Too bad there isn't a smiley like this one with its ears popping out instead of its eyes. :D

PS: There's nothing quite like hearing the sappiest-dork-ridden-microsofty-war-meeting voices spouting out military commands.

I haven't had the displeasure of the voice dorks on tf2 at all. But Evil Islands was pretty amazing.

I concur (Get it, lol)

So I pre-ordered orange box last night (Early Birthday Present), so I'm waiting for my beta key presently. Soon, one of those voice dorks might be me!
