Well only one encore for Beeeph and me at the 7/11 LA show at the Wiltern - but it was still a two hour epic show! Let's start with the setlist:

22. Burden In My Hand - (Down on the Upside)
23. Black Hole Sun - (Superunknown)
So there is a song or two I am not positive about (ones in bold are positive). The 6th and 10th songs might be reversed and I feel like they might have played
Killing Birds,
Today, or
Your Time Has Come. I'll see if I can't find another source to verify those.
Overall the show was fanfuckintastic. We nabbed an awesome place to stand at the very front of the 2nd tier. The Wiltern has a cool multi tiered floor. Usually you can get 1st tier (pit) spots if you are there early but for some reason these were all special tix at this show. No big deal cuz we had a great view right in eyeline with the stage (good for shorties like B3E).
Chris was on his shit. He sounds every bit as good today as he ever has. His range is unmatched. The lead guitar had some sweet solo chops and the band was generally not too bad - although there were a couple times I could tell they were having a bit of trouble keeping up on some of the complicated songs like Rusty Cage and JCP. Oh well... more to look forward to for the SOUNDGARDEN reunion!
All the SG songs were the highlights. On top of those, Say Hello 2 Heaven blew everyone away and Cochise was the most rockin of the newer stuff. I am not a big fan of most of the tracks off of Carry On (except maybe You Know My Name) and could have done without a few of the weaker solo "need to sell the album" cuts. Spoonman, while a great rendition, has never been one of my favorite tracks. Same goes for My Wave and Black Hole Sun. I would have REALLY loved to have heard Loud Love, one of my top 5 SG songs (and I have never seen it live). Definitely would have been cool to squeeze another TotD song in (Wooden Jesus??) and I would have really loved to have heard Seasons - but who's complaining?
It was really an exciting thing to hear these Soundgarden songs played live. I can't think of any other band that has influenced my musical taste more and I was just extremely happy to be rockin out to those songs live. Bring on the reunion!!
