Hello from Iran!

Post by N3ur0n0saurusl2exs0r!!! »

It's been three weeks now that I have been calling Iran my home. I've been living with my roommate enjoying some fine Persian cusine and hospitality - I shall have to learn how to prepare a dish or few. I've had Persian tea on a Persian rug while eating Persian cusine in a Persian home with my Persian sister while watching a Persian movie...Ok just kidding about the Persian movie but the rest is true and no I'm not yet Persian-ed out...Although I have had to endure a slight amount of Persian drama which unsurprisingly enough is no different than standard stupid American drama. I am still trying to figure out how I got here though - still seems a little too good to be true and I can't yet even say that my roommate is psycho and might get the urge to stab me through the heart in the night. She is very stable...And we have a dog...a puppy acutally a Yorkie Poodle combo - a Yordle or a Poorky...which ever you prefer (they are called Yorkipoo's though which is ridiculous in it's own right)...it's quite ridiculous either way damn hybrid mutts....

As far as Iranian film goes, I recommend Majid Majidi. In particular, his film The Color of Paradise is a masterpiece.

Ok, I may be getting slightly close to getting Persian-ed out due to Persian drama and I'm drunk too if you can beleive that. I've got 82.995 days left before my license is reinstated. What kind of person listens to radio on their PC? I guess I do because of Allen and RDS...whatever.. ok so yeah...I've been walking all over the place and for whatever reason the people at Canyon Park fitness gave me a free 30-day VIP pass to their fitness center...ridiculous...the place ficken sucks ass though -it's all gimmicked out to attract people that actually don't work out into thinking they could work out there because it has stuff they think they would actually use but in reality it sucks and they might use it twice before never using it again. Think I shall check out Golds gym next...

Gold's might be better for you. From what I've heard (so this could be inaccurate,) it's more of a "pumping iron" sort of place. Of course, there's the Iron Works down NE 20th by Vetco Electronics. It looks like your kinda place. They have a big yellow truck outside that say Iron Works on it. :)

BTW: How are you doing? (Aside from some of the posts that I half-read.) I'd perhaps avoid the "special class" motorsports, but that's just me.

I am pretty much doing ok although things aren't really too good right now. I kind of was irresponsible as of late and bought a pair of Mackie HR824s and also a Seagate 500GB external HD and neglected my bills - oh well. Been a while that I spent that kind of money on myself for that purpose. I thought I was going to be able to finally consolodate my debt but have not had the loan go through as of yet even though I've been waiting two months...I'd really like to buy a Mackie HRS120 though - well actually I'd like two but it's been hard to find them used. Anyone know of anyone selling them? I'll buy two if the price is decent.

Tried Golds out...is actually a really nice gym and they have actual functional non-gimmicky equipment to use and they let me do whatever I want there...is not bad...but is very expensive compared to my old place. All the cardio machines have their own LCD screen to play DVDs on...is pretty nice gym...
