Actually...
... that looks more like a shark to me, due to the vertical tail fin. dolphins are horizontally oriented. Not to mention the pointy nose. Unless the wave is making it look that way. Do you know that for sure??? I could be wrong, but judging by that pic, I don't think I am.

Turds and other things
If that was England, there could be no doubt that the menacing form in the water was actually floating raw sewage. From my vantage point on a cliff top, I watched a Welsh surfer ploughing through an icky looking band of fresh turds, piss, and pulped toilet paper that had emerged from some pipe somewhere to spoil his whole day.
But if you look at the previous picture in the series, you will see that it is a dolphin.
The lowdown is here, where most people obviously don't look.

In a rare display of aggression, the dolphin grabbed the surfer in its beak and carried him down to the bottom in a series of fatal death rolls. Questions of taste prevented the photographer from publishing the rest of the series.
