It was cool, I got to see a lot of new stuff from just about every single company that has anything to do with music that you can possibly think of. And the booths they have there are huge, it's a music fanatics wonderland. You could spend a few days going to all the booths (a lot of them being 2 stories large). You can play test pretty much everything you want.

They something for everyone. I got to see the new Tama babinga drums, they were absolutely beautiful. I played some of the new V-Drums from roland, banged around on tons of new cymbals from Zildjian/Sabian/Paiste.

They had a MOOG booth there with a dedication to Bob who we all know died earlier this year. There was lots of computer recording oriented stuff, demos, etc. gadgets and gizmos galore (think Charlie and Chocolate factory only for music). Dustin would have had a hay-day...they had tons of analog-modulation stuff there...Jessica has all the pictures, when she gets the developed I'll post them here.

I saw lots of stars/rockstars everyone from Kenny Arnoff, Gene Simmons, Kiefer Sutherland, Dave Navarro, the guys from Slipknot, guys from Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal, to socal bands like the guys from Hoobastank and so on and so on...way too many to list/remember.

It was busy around there, lots of people and there were after-parties at all the surrounding motels that the bigger companies would throw at night with live bands free booze/food. You had to have special invitation to get in, and I had VIP status at the Gibson party at the Hilton...I tried to get ahold of Beeeph all weekend but he never answered his damn phone. Bleh.

So does that mean that you did not go to the party?

It sounds like a fun scene! I look forward to the pics.

I didn't go...I wasn't really in the mood to party by myself with a whole bunch of people I don't know. Jessica wasn't going so instead we went up to LA and had dinner at El Cholo's.

right about the time you were ringing my phone, I was in las vegas being lectured by an elvis impersonator on how to overcome the challenges of the future and understand the needs, demand and expectations of the american people. At the time, I wasn't very receptive. I wanted less talk and more rock, damn it!

bossy agent sauce, you should have given me a head's up that you were coming down, mang, that would've been great to hang out with you and I would've loved to gone to the NAMM show. Is it an annual show? are they doing it again next year in anaheim?

Yeah it's annual, so I'm sure I'll be down there again next year.

And yes, it was pretty short notice. :shades:
