Ahh F.E.A.R.

Post by R3C »

Such a good game. There was a lull for a wee bit, but now it's picked back up. Who's playing it right now?

Admiral McNevin: have you jumped out of your chair yet? :D

I recommend dark and headphones.

I was playing quite a bit but then inexplicably stopped for a while...
My lacrosse coach used to say, "there's no I in F.E.A.R."

I know this is comin' atcha pretty damned fast SpiderMonXy...

There was a slightly boring part for a little while, but now it's picked up again. I really like the parts of some of the buildings that are under construction. Drywall stacks, exposed stud-walls, toolboxes. It actually reminds me a lot of when ST-Dimen-itest was remodelling when McNevin and I worked there. :D

[spoilbox]I like the invisible fellows that drop off the walls and drop through the legendary Cei-Ling tiles. That's right F.E.A.R. soldier, we meet again. Asbestos powder!!! Get up and face the powder!!! :D[/spoilbox]

I seem to have stopped playing fear, i should fix that.

I loved the fact that all that seperated a domain controller and anybody that wanted to mess with it was a piece of plastic, during that remodel. Now that is security.

Security at its best. :D And yes, you should definitely finish F.E.A.R. and Quake IV. I doubt you've seen any of the REALLY cool parts of Quake yet. I'm toying with the idea of installing BF2 again. For some reason I feel like a bit of tactical play. What I really want to play is the old Strike Force, but I don't have UT99 anymore, so that just won't work. I wish someone would make some smaller maps for BF2 for that 4 player Strike-Force type of fun. Quick rounds, tactical but still simple etc. play. Like the little house level with the Hummer parked outside. That was about as that sort of thing gets. Is there agood site for getting things for BF2?

SHOGO

I wish they'd make a new one. I might even have to install the old one, just because it was so fun. It probably looks like crap these days. I've been noticing that more and more lately. I installed Porsche Unleashed the other night, and it looked TERRIBLE. I remembered it looking a lot better, but apparently it doesn't look that great.

There's a hidden room in F.E.A.R. where the radio plays the goofy theme from said other game...

So Ghost, we meet again!![/spoilbox]

I think perhaps I shall be playing some more tonight. I wish there was one more slightly heavier machine gun. For some reason I don't like the sniping one, even though it works fairly effectively in non-scope operation. The nail/spike/whichever gun is a little too slow. I really like the higher end machine gun, but it could do a little more damage. To bad I can't get at the weapon defs like I can with the Doom 3 based games.

Just done beat it up good! Nice game that. I never found the Shogo room though. I found a few interesting rooms hidden out of the normal path of travel, but nothing like that.

[spoilbox]Alma does some good break-dancing I can tell you...[/spoilbox]
