It's fun... it has CTF... double barrel shotgun... grav-gun... more monsters...
Get it now, and play it... Damn it!!
Oh, I also made some nice weapon def files that increase the damage and capacity of certain weapons. (I personally don't like having to fire 12 shots to kill one imp with a pistol etc.) I can make them available via FTP if anyone wants them.
Over...
Who the damn is playing Doom 3: RoE??

not damn me - but I have been playing Riddick now and then in my spare time. I just got to the fat shaman dude in the underground. It is pretty fun, looks good, and runs well. As of right now I would rank it high but not higher than HL2 (based mainly on Riddick's interior versus exterior gameplay and lack of vehicles) but I will reserve final judgement until I beat it or lose interest.
I think it's much better put together story-wise. HL2 definitely had some very good ideas, and some nice outdoor fighting scenes, but I felt a little more immersed in Riddick. I guess I wouldn't say it's TONZoRZ better, but enough to call it better. Oh, and you'll change your mind about one of your points eventually. Also playing Pirates right now. McNevin got me thinking about it a little bit, then MoNx0r pushed me over the edge into a wonderful pool of piracy. My current strategy is to attack the British, ignore the French, run errands for the Spanish, while maintaining Dutch-nicity/ocity.
I think it was in progress at the same time the HL2 one was. At least that's the general idea floating around. It doesn't work the same way as the HL2 one. It's mostly for grabbing projectiles and such. Anyway, I use my customized weapons more than that thing anyway. Good stuff. They work a lot more like the ones in the original Doom games, rather than the Doom 3 ones. The double shotgun is pretty nice too.
I think zero point manipulation contraptions are the latest craze anyway. HL2, D3, The Incredibles (movie) etc. They must be on the brink of actually creating them since they are so prevalent in science fiction now. Or something...
What's the haps Admiral McNevin?

I've been jamming on Brothers in Arms lately. Its an unreal engine game, so there's nothing technically remarkable about it, but... it is a real challenge, and is one of the few FPSers i've played that isn't just run and gun. You just can't progress without a good strategy. The squad control is similar to Full Spectrum Warrior, but you still get to mix it up yourself instead of eveything being auto like FSW. Definitely worth checking out if you like WW2 shooters.
