I think i'd get motion sickness using a display setup like that. I don't know about you guys, but both Halflife one and two made me sick when I first started playing them. I got used to them both, but I heard that valve uses a higher pont of view angle which makes gamers a bit more motion-sickness prone. I never had motion sickness with any other FPSes so I think they're doing something funny. Anyway, I'd blow chunks after 15 minutes of playing with that setup and halflife.
I used to set up 3 21" monitors on a Parhelia and play FS 2004 when I worked for Microsoft Game Studios. It was actually quite cool. You could set a view per monitor, so I'd put the side monitors at about 100 degrees from the center one, put side window views on them, and main center view with console on the center screen. I'd hook up a good flight stick, and fly around. It was pretty cool. I don't know if I'd like it with an FPS though.
