I feel the Need for Speed!

Post by McNevin »

Wow. The EA NFS MMO is awesome!

It's called Need for Speed World, and its now free to play! (It used to cost 20$ to get past a certain level.) It is still in beta, and the 360 controller doesn't work in all the UIs, but it is still a fun time.

You are driving around Vancouver Canada, and you can race real people etc, but what I've found to be exhilarating is getting in trouble with the law! They set up roadblocks, and try to pit you. Pretty good cop AI actually. You have to get away, and lay low. Very immersive, I found some old forest trails, and I had a dukes of hazard moment when I made a sweet jump and the cop didn't. Oh and the cops have 2010 chargers.

Give it a try even if you don't like MMOs, its way fun!

You guys tried Blur? Relatively fun - like a combination of Mario Kart, Burnout, and NFS.

That's funny... I do have it, and that's exactly what I describe it as when I talk about it. :D
