Just read part of that article earlier today. I got bored though and stopped. Maybe if I had some ADD drugs I could have finished it. 
For me the greenery always helped my game performance more than any of the things that I would have expected to do it. It generally makes it so I can only concentrate on one thing at a time, which is perfect for gaming. I block out everything but what I'm doing. With stimulants, I get spaced out, jittery, and actually lose the ability to concentrate on things.
