There was a post on portland IMC regarding the possibility that three individuals associated with the Seattle IMC and/or organizing the LEIU protest (I can't remember at this point) who were arrested for trespassing may be getting investigated for links to a supposed 'terrorist organization'.
Has the U.S. government gone too far in the "War on Terror?" Are we to the point where practicing your right to protest will get your name on a "terrorist group" listing? Should we be willing to give up some freedoms to be secure from terrorism? Is the Bush administration exploiting this issue to crack down on domestic activists?
Some good pics of the Seattle police testing that riot gear on folks:

Gone too far? Is it even a question? When I was protesting trade policies back in the 90s our legal rights were a big deal. During the WTO many were arrested and a lot of choices were made by officials that were questioned as constitutionally just. Now, it seems those tactics are completely legal and basically the norm. With the rules regarding what is and is not a "terrorist organization" so open to interpretation, soon you may be arrested for belonging to your local PTA. This is a police state and big brother is most definitely watching.
