So, I got the first public beta release, and it's VERY cool. It plays exactly like the C64 version, but looks quite fancy. I offered to do some sound work for them, and they said that sounded cool. Looks like I'll be doing some effects work for them. Weeeeeee!!!!
My first project will be to make them a new dragon sound. I don't know if they're looking for new versions of the classic sounds, or if they want more "realistic" sounds to go with the enhanced artwork. I think the retro sounds would be the coolest, so that's where I'm going to start. I think I'll make a whole set of sounds that mimic the old ones, but fancier. Maybe they can add an option for different sound sets or something.
