Nine Inch Nails has scrapped Bleedthrough as the title of their new album, according to a posting on the band's official website. Nine Inch Nails founder and frontman Trent Reznor wrote, "Bleedthrough is no more. As the songs and concepts matured, the focus and theme of the album shifted somewhat -- leaving me feeling that title was inappropriate. Or you could say I changed my mind."Reznor adds that the album will be "finished and mixed" by the end of 2004, and tentatively released in March of 2005. As for the title, he says, "Yes, the new album has a title and track list, and no, I'm not telling you what it is yet."Reznor says that extensive touring will begin around the time of the album's release. He also stated that he's completed a number of new songs which won't appear on the record, but "who knows where they might end up." A two-disc deluxe edition of Nine Inch Nails' 1994 album, The Downward Spiral, will arrive on November 23rd.
