System Shock 1
Im not only a D-Fend user, im also their biggest fan! I actually was using D-Fend for the previos release of dosbox.
Hmmm... its pretty cool, but still seems a little slow on my machine.
I got it in 320x200, 20000 cycles, and its just about the same as it ran on my 486.
I wish i could play this in 640x480. Have you gotten the sound to not skip?
The way I set it up, is install from CD to HDD. Then copy the "CDROM" folder from the CD to the Shock folder on the HDD. Then edit the cdshock.bat to load from that copied "CDROM" folder. Then edit cyb.cfg to reflect that folder as well. Then set up a nice profile in D-Fend for it. Use the "Normal" CPU setting, not the Dynamic (even though it should be faster, it is not.) Cycles should be around 16000-18000. Blizam! Oh, make sure you set the video mode in the profile to 320x200, or it will use 640 and scale 2x, which will make it a bit slower.
