There ain't no village!!!

HEE HEE HEE...

So, the FarCry 1.2 patch is out, but judging by the forums I've been looking at, the patch sucks, and seems to break things for a lot of people.

I'm gonna try it out when I get home :D

I think the 1.3 patch is going to be the one to look out for for ATI users.

I installed Q3A and TA last night. All set with that if someone wants to have a go sometime. I've been sharpening up my skills a bit. I've regained my insta-rail shots. Nothing like running around a corner and hitting someone with a railgun shot before they even see you. :D

Affraid I can't do that. As others here know, I have this thing against war sims. Kinda strange actually, because I don't mind some, but others are just boring and dumb to me. Even if I would probably have fun playing them sometimes I don't like them enough to even try. :D Can't be explained. For example, I know I'd love playing Battlefield, but I won't do it. I'm not a big bomb on a stick/old machine gun person. I'm more into plasma guns, rail guns, etc.

In short, if a copy landed on my desk, and magically installed itself, and a server was up and running at the time with all my friends on it, there is a 50% chance I'd play it. (based on nothing in particular)

The Far Cry patch worked fine for me. I was even able to get the PS2.0B beta path to work, though it actually ran a little slower than the normal 2.0 path at the moment. (Probably because the DX9.0C copy I have is a piece of junk.) Anyway, it runs a little faster, and fixed a few problems from the 1.1 patch.

Don't know what time I'll be able to play yet. I'll put an update on here later or something. I found the perfect deathmatch level to play on UT2004. It's among the coolest looking levels in the game. I'll toss it up at some point tonight.

Can't play tonight. I have to get up early since I took off early to get my card. Let me tell you, it's a very nice card. Have to do some exploring in the drivers, but I found most of the stuff I was looking for when I enabled the CoolBits :D So, I've got it almost the way I want it. I cranked the clock up to Ultra speeds and have no problems. WWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UT2004 runs absolutely perfectly. Quake 3 actually appears to be slower on this than the X800 (despite the fact that the OpenGL drivers are better for the NV) Maybe I'm just missing something, so we'll see what happens. Well, maybe if you guys get bored in the Village (if there was a village) we can start up something we all have. I'll message you tomorrow and check the status of everyone. Quite happy with the card...
