Q3

Post by R3C »

Am I the only one in here with Q3A and TA installed? I want to play some Quake damnit! I haven't had a decent rail gun fix in a while.

There's a shiny new 400MB+ UrbanTerror out too. I'm going to install it and see how it is. I'm up for some tactical play with other monkeys, but I don't want to install another full game on my system right now. (Need HD upgrade.) A mod to a game I already have on the system would be the way to do it for me.

I'll try it first though, so nobody has to download 400MB for nothing. Can't wait until a mod like this comes out for Doom 3.

I actually played quake 3 the other day, it was fun. I beat the whole first tier. I dont have my CD key, so unfortunatly i cant play online. I also don't own a copy of team arena.

Remember the best team arena battle of all time! What a game...

I bought Team Arena new for $4.73. :D I can't imagine Q3A being more than $9.99. Especially when the source code will be released in the next couple weeks. Anyone that doesn't have these games should order them cheaply, so we can play. I think Q3A Gold has both games. Not sure how much it is though.

Nice, then get your key, and order TA. You should be able to find it easily. If it's not anywhere else, you can order directly from id on their site. (Though it's a tiny bit more expensive there.) $15.00

We should also play some co-op Quake 2 with the Q2Max engine. Would be oodles of fun. With 3-4 players in co-op, we should be able to beat it in a couple of nights. We don't have to install the expansions since I'm probably the only one that has them. I REALLY need to finish up my collection. I think I can fit every Doom, Quake, Hexen, Heretic, Wolfenstein games with all addons, sourceports, etc, onto 2 DVDs.

Or we could just forget all about Quake and play Bagman and Minky Monkey.

It does become necessary. I usually buy 10 at a time. Then if someone else wants one or two, I still have enough for the day, night, and a couple starters for the next day. :D :D :D

I really should just go buy a box of 50 of them for $24.00. Good stuff...

Go Joyful Road!

QuakeCon is going on right now, so perhaps we'll hear some news on Quake 4. Also, some good mods and maps should be under way now. I'd like someone to make that hovering city map that we used to play on Q3 all the time for D3.

I'm still not done either, I'm just lining up some multiplay for later. If everyone has the game installed, then it will be easy to multiplay. Weeee!!!

Quake IV is not going to be shown at QuakeCon.

I guess they don't want people to get all worked up, when it's going to be a while before it's finished. Pretty smart actually.

Bleh.

I was hoping that since they've been sort of working on it since the Doom 3 engine was announced, that it would be released at a similar time.

HEE HEE HEE. Wow, it would have sucked back then. Glad it took as long as it did.

Edit: Ok, well, it wouldn't have sucked, but it wouldn't be how it is now. :D

They never really put out a D3Test, like they have with the other games.

It did have a leaked alpha, similar to original doom.

So i found this q3akey file on my HD, looks to be my real key. I was able to play online, unless they disabled key checking.

Got the 1.32 point release, and played some exsessive online. Wow... I owned, and it was fun.

Runs great on the 9800! Now i just need to win that auction.

Wow, that's two dollars less than I got mine for. Though mine was new. I guess that's the price I had to pay for a new copy. :D Excellent, well, we shall have to play very soon. I was pretty much gone all weekend, but I'll be available to play most nights this week.

Excellent. My eagle has landed too. (LSL6 CD version.) :D Woooooo!!!
I'm just leaving the last Delta Lab level on D3, so I assume I don't have a ton more to do. I haven't had much time to play lately, and Windwaker has been distracting me quite a bit. I can't lay off the wind-sauce long enough to get any real D3ing in. It's started raining here. Makes me want to stay inside and play games. Lots of games. Wooooo!!! I love fall, still not freezing, but cooler, and enough rain to necessitate games playing on a level that I enjoy. :D You guys don't have fall down there do you?

If we do it hasn't started yet. But I hear we don't. We never reallyt had summer either in SB though. I don't think it ever got much over 80. It just kinda hovers between 70 and 80 all year from what I hear.

I like seasons. I'm just now getting sick of being hot all the time, and now it's starting to cool a wee bit. (It'll probably get hot a bit more though.) The only thing I don't like is Winter with no snow. Winter without snow can just fuq off. It's not worth having winter without it. I'm neutral on spring. There's not much that I like about it, and not much to complain about either.

Here winter consists of 60-70, as oposed to summers 70-80.

I dont miss "seasons" at all, I hate the cold.
