Anyone in Japan reading this?

Post by enderzero »

Hey I am gonna be up in Tokyo next weekend.

I'm arriving Friday 7/30 and I'll be staying through goe-wed until my Monday 8/9 departure.

I hear it is hot as shit. How bad is it?

Che - you wanna round up the troops fer Friday night OG style?

Is there any hanabi action goin down during that time?

And finally, what the hell is up with the bachelor party?

Whoops. Missed this until it appeared ODK stylee.

The heat's not too bad from day to day, but there have been some sweltering ass blister days sprinkled throughout. There have actually been some breezy nights here and there too. Some thunderstorms "predicted" throughout the next weekend (means they have no idea what's going to happen).

As far as hanabi goes, the biggest show will be this Saturday, July 31st. 20,000 individual rockets will splode all over da place at the Sumidagawa Taikai (Sumida River Fireworks Festival). They go from 7:10pm - 8:30pm, but you'd better get there early 'cause it's crowded. I went to that one 3 years ago at a friend's rooftop party; we were directly under where most of the 'sploding went down. Unbelievable.

More info on all firework festies here.

(there's actually a Gaienmae display going on right in the middle of the goe^wed, but I'm not sure if we'll be able to see it from our vantage point. )

And uh...no word on a b-party. :uhh: But we're so excited you're coming!

Buy these for me if you have time...

I'll keep my eye out for your precious Star Wars Legos. Others - if you see them let me know.

Kat - Hey ohisahiburi. It sounds like Jaime is having a little get together on his rooftop tonight (Sat). If I get my phone hooked up I'll give you a call. I figured you were already out of here.

No they don't seem to exist. I haven't seen them in convenience stores and have no idea where else they would be.

Maybe here?

Maybe the problem is that legos don't really exist. They're just a collective hallucination, and Ender is the first person to emerge from it into the real, non-connectable-plastic-block having world...

I've been to hell and back again. Where's my ticker tape parade?

I will keep an eye open for your precious droids. If I don't see them before endar's flight, I have no problem with shipping them to you via hyperspace postal. :ninja:

That link is to an image that doesn't show any legos. Am I just supposed to buy some little cookies and hope there are legos inside?

I went and looked around on the Kabaya page, but the only legos to be found were these dinosaurs. Maybe you want them instead?
