Firefox Extensions

Post by enderzero »

Found a cool extension? Post it here.

Still using IE? Why don't you just go back to Win3.1 you change fearing folk!

Firefox 0.9

***

Bookmark Synchronizer v0.9.6

This awesome extension allows you to synchronize your bookmarks to an ftp site automatically when you open or close Firefox. I set it up in 20 seconds and it works awesome. Just install, close and reopen Firefox, and click on the extension's options under Tools -> Extensions. This tool is perfect if you run Firefox on multiple PCs.

I give it 5 out of 5 stars

so what makes Firefox so much better than IE, other than it not having my beloved Ctrl-O shortcut. I might not ever be able to leave IE until a third part develops a browser with that shortcut.

I found this gem yesterday: GMail Notifier (download)

I also dig Single Window (overrides new window commands to open in tabs instead) and BugMeNot (which will dump a bunch of dummy data for lame site registrations)

To start with a little thing called Tabbed Browsing. It has revolutionized the way I use the internet. You know they have the internet on computers now?

Also, a really great community with developers that make extensions like the aformentioned bookmark synch utility.

BTW - in Firefox you can hit ctrl+T and then just type the url which will open the page somewhat similarly to the way your precious ctrl+O does.
