Eternal Sunshine
Wow! That is about all I can say about this absolute GEM of a movie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, from writer Charlie Kaufman and director Michel Gondry.
[ Official ] [ IMDB ] [ Rotten Tomatoes ][ Rolling Stone ]
Kaufman's cleverness is so beautifully transformed by Gondry's artistic vision making this one of the best, most beautiful, and coolest movies I have ever seen. The acting is superb across the board. This is Jim Carey's best role ever and I had no idea Kate Winslet could be so powerful. The supporting cast is just as good and they aid Gondry and Kauffman in making some the most realistic characters ever depicted (look for Mark Ruffalo's speach to Kirsten Dunst towards the end). I can't remember how many times throughout the flick that I thought to myself, "that was so exactly how it would happen in real life." I also couldn't help thinking, "I am right now experiencing this movie for the first time, a movie that I will doubtlessly watch many more times in my life, I better relish in it." Shades of Donnie Darko. It is that good.
Anyone else caught this yet?

Most likely a long long time from now (although you can get my CDs I accidentally left with Goemon DAMNIT!). I keep telling people here that they need to go see it but a surprisingly tiny amount of people have taken my advice. PLEASE SEE THIS MOVIE!! IT IS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!
Read this Rolling Stone review I linked to above for more good gospel.

I have not seen that movie but I think it looks interesting. I would like to check it out.
I thought the quality of the Endless Sunshine rip was pretty good. It is not like a shitty theater cam or anything. I would recommend Goemon and Ramjet not hesitate to watch it just because it is such a good movie and probably won't be out in Japan for so long. The film will likely leave you wanting to see it again anyway so you will get a chance to see the clean and pretty one.
