The MEAT thread
Ah yes...MEAT... It's evolutionary!
Where would man be now if man had only ever ate plant life exclusively? Big and strong or small and frail? Extinct? Would cows have ruled the Earth? Speaking of cows:
BEEF:
I love cows. I love to eat them. They taste good. They make me feel good. I've eaten their tongues, I've eaten their brains, I've eaten their stomach lining - but mostly I've eaten their young! hehehe! Yes - filet mignon...yummy...
I have to say that you can get a very nice steak at Matts' Rotisserie & Oyster Lounge in Redmond Town Center... I've had the low-end and the high-end steaks there and they were both very good. The high end(filet mingon) steak was $25.95 and I don't see how you could do any better for that price - it was HUGE and tender. It was about three inches high and cooked very well...well not really - I like it rare!
The cuts of beef that Matt's has aren't something that you can get at your standard grocery store but the slab of the cow is so thick you probably wouldn't really be able to cook it that well without some serious equipment.
You can however go to high-end Thriftways and purchase some Kobe style beef raised in the US from Snake River Farms where they also have Kurobota pork as well...The prices are not too bad but you can pay $25 for a steak there but the marbling in the beef is so perfect and it is so tender it's ridiculous...The cuts aren't over the top either so you could broil it or cook them on pretty much any decent heat source.

I'm gonna have to have you over for a BBQ l2icks0r!. I buy the best rib-eyes I can find and marinade them in
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup A-1
3 tbsps Teriyaki sauce
1/3 cup red wine
2-3 cloves garlic
salt n pepper
Get the grill good and hot and flash cook 'em so that the marble melts and the outsides are brown, but the insides stay moist and juicy. Nummy! Best steaks around.

For prefab steak...
... there is no better place in this country than JaK's grill in Issaquah and West Seattle Junction. The fillets there are absolutely perfect. (In the $25-30 range depending on what size you order.) The only better steak I've had was in Tokyo. At Seryna (I think that's how you spell it,) but it was several times more expensive. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.....

Wow
I am like a totally different person after a few bottles of wine...the memory thing just sucks...I didn't even remember to go to Jak's myself...
Anyway, I have been eating meat nonetheless...like a mad l2icks0r! if you will...
Supposedly QFC doesn't even buy meat from Washington - it comes from the midwest... I really don't care if my brain melts from mad cow disease six years from now anyway...so I'll eat it...Besides, I basically scare the disease out of the meat by using a variety of techniques such as massive impact traumas, severe taunting using the utmost of profane bewilderment, bromelain (acid from pineapple used to tenderize), searing heat, repeated tissue tearing using my teeth, dangerously acidic stomach acid, and an immune system second only to the Komodo dragon!!!!
Fuck the Mad cow!!! God damn!!! I wish I had a god damn mad cow right now!!!! I'd fucking slice off a nice tenderloin, grill it up in front of the cow and eat it while the stupid cow looks right at me!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Then I'd be like, "Fuck you mad cow!!!!! I'm eating your disease ridden flesh you dumb bastard! Stupid mad cow bastard!!!!!" then just for fun I would destroy the cow using all my assorted firearms...and taint all the meat...with lead...now the cow is dead...then I'd shoot his head...and then eat some bread...soaked in the blood of his head...I love the cow...so I thee wed! and honeymoon at club med! and eat more cow head!!! in my club med bed until all cow head I have been fed! Enough said...
