Soon I shall have a modern PC once again. I bought everything except for a keyboard and mouse. Monitor, CPU, video card, motherboard, OS, hard drive, power supply, drive, case, memory, and DVD drive. I can't believe I have actually purchased an OS...I have never done that before. Everything is coming out of California too so I imagine it should get here pretty quick? Dunno - first order from Newegg too...

The other day I bought a dvd drive on newegg (for someone else) at 11:30am and selected the cheapest 'saver' shipping option. It was waiting when I arrived at work at 9am the next day. Soon they will ship me things before I even know I want them.

To ship to Washington to California?

The "saver" shipping for me was $173...if I wanted the fast option it was $323...so I went with the $60 option. I imagine it is a lot because of the bulkiness of the case and the monitor.

Yeah, the case and monitor will do it. I've sent out a few systems recently, and they were around $60 each to ship. Stupid jerks!
