Agreed! Let's play some damn games. When does Team Fortress 2 come out? That will be really fun.

Until then... how about some kind of Team fortress esque stuff. Q3A:TA? Is that what we were playing that has those deep gorges and flying machines and stuff? Are there mods for Q4 like that? I can't seem to remember what is fun anymore? Or was that last UT?

Flying contraptions were UT. I'm not sure I can bring myself to install that again. If we don't come up with anything else then perhaps I could.

Well, we didn't really get in contact over the weekend, but I'm up for some games-playing in the later evening most days this week. I only have STALKER and Quake IV installed right now. I don't really want to install UT, but could if absolutely necessary. (I have the CD version, and it takes forever to swap all the discs.) :grind:

I could also install Q3A/TA/UT (Urban Terror,) or FEAR, or the like.

Joystiq's Impression of UT3.
Of particular note had to be a weapon that generated a time-warping field. A cube can be created, and within that cube, all time gets slowed down significantly. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the field, we saw the Flak Cannon shoot into the field. As the spray entered the field, it came to a crawl, and the player was able to run past the flak and see it exit the other side, at full momentum.

Does anyone else have Prey? The multiplayer levels are kinda cool. Perhaps we should give it a go.

If someone wants to Prey with me, they should give me a call this evening. It's not a large game, so I'm sure you could get it within a couple of hours if you don't already have it. I really want to try MP. The levels let you walk all over the ceiling, go through portals, etc.

Play! Now! Damnit!

I played for a minute. I'm into a few other things at the moment, so I haven't invested any real time into it yet. It's ready to go at any time though if we want to whirl it.

I installed UT2004, CBP1, CBP2V1, CBP2V2, MegaPack, and 3369-XFi patch. I suppose if nobody wants to play the cooler games being discussed here, we could default back to this. Bleh...

I also have FEAR and Extraction Point installed. Here is the list of what I can play instantly:

Prey (plus whatever the latest patch is)
Quake IV 1.42
Doom 3 1.31 + Narcoza Update
FEAR + Extraction Point 1.08
Halflife 2
UT2004 3369 (plus all the updates listed above)
STALKER 1.03 (I think)

Anything else, and I'll have to install...

The problem seems to be finding the time more than deciding on the game
I'd pretty much play any of those if we could lock sometime down.

I'm usually able in the later evenings these days. Day of the week doesn't really matter all that much. Now that the wee-un goes to sleep at a semi-regular time, I have larger blocks of time where I have both hands available to play a game with. :D
