i just pinged the hub and received a 15346ms response...not bad! however, i can't guarantee the hub will be responding that quickly later on when we wanna play

f.e.a.r. wasn't as fun as i thought it would be. maybe it was the severe ass whooping i received, or maybe it was somehow rylands fault. i'll tell you what would make me a very happy little b333ph...if we could switch up the genre a bit and play an RTS. i don't care which one, old or new, 2d or 3d, black or white, maybe some warcraft 3 or C&C or starcraft or something new and cool that i don't even know about. or whatever, lets just play something now that we're all in the mood.

I would play TA or perhaps WC3, but that's about it in that genre. Otherwise, maybe a little hacking and slashing in some MP (though not MMO) RPG? Or, if we had ever made D0nk3y... but...

I thought F.E.A.R. was fun, but Quake IV was definitely better. Q3A might even be more fun. That's about as pure an MP experience as it gets.

yes, configure the hub for Q3, the rockets are faster, thus better. but nothing beats the railgun in Q2, did anyone ever play the lithium (grappling hook) mod for Q2? that remains to this day the fastest "twitch shooter" i've ever set my fingers on. we should also create a J3RK-S3RV for WC3. BattleLAN!!

I'd like to play some Q3 Urban Terror - don't know about regular Q3 now that we are in the Q4 era.

I guess I could do some WC3 sometime too.

So anyway, I would have played a few rounds of Quake 3/4 last night, but I couldn't find my WC3 disc, and I wouldn't have had time to set it up properly either. I should have time tonight to play something. I'll grab another copy of WC3, but in the meantime something shooty would be good. I've actually been playing F.E.A.R. more online with actual humans, and I'm getting a bit better at it. It's actually been quite fun.

Anyway, I'll check on here a few times today, and see if anyone is up for a few shooty rounds. I'll work on getting WC3 later today.

Here are some smoother values for aiming in Quake IV:

These settings feel fairly Quake 2ish. I'm experimenting now to get some snappy, yet still accurate Q3Aish response.

I'm in. How about both? I think it owuld be fun to do a little RTSin - even though I haven't played WC3 since 2316 and I am pretty sure I will be in store fer a whuppin. Still I think that would be pretty fun.

I can go a bit earlier if everyone else is around.

Any Q4 Mods we could try??

I found it - it was on an iso dvd I had stashed away. I am 100% patched up with 1.20e and a-werkin. I might be able to squeeze in an early game. Anyone gonna be home by 8?

Mine finished, but I don't have FT for it. I haven't yet installed it either. I would like to play it, but I'm in no hurry. (I've been in action mode lately.) If you guys need to take a rest from strategizing, have the comm-hub contact me. I'll serve up some fresh, hot, Quakeness, or F.E.A.R.ness.

Sleeeph: I think you'd have more fun playing F.E.A.R. with just our little group. The problem we had when you joined last time, was that a bunch of internet players joined. There are several modes that I haven't even tried yet too. Perhaps something with a little more tactical involvement would be more fun.
