Sigma Infiltrators!!! (Must Kill Them)

Post by R3C »

So we were infiltrated again today, this time by feather(somethingrather.) I banned it, and deleted all the automated random replies. I wonder how many people actually click on the links in the signatures. This can't be generating any more revenue for these idiots. Why bother? If anything, I'd say it pisses off forum users to the point where even if they were interested in an online casino, cheap imitation jewelry, growing an extra large penis, etc. they wouldn't click anyway.

:grind:

Perhaps it's time to require a login before the forums are even reached.

I wonder if there is a connection between the infiltrators, and the session errors?

That's about when we started seeing the errors. I wonder how are infiltrators work.

I have upgraded the security settings for registration on the board. Hopefully that should stifle the flow of sigma infiltration. You may notice a strange name or two that are registered as new users but please leave those alone for testing purposes.

Excellent. Let me know when your test is complete, and I will continue to wage war against any future infiltrators. Over...

So... did you fix the forum?

Any link between the crashes, and the fake posts?

Well not exactly. Only time will tell if the bots come back. I think I have them foiled for now.

I do not believe the two are related. But I haven't been able to see another error message since the last round so it is rather hard to troubleshoot. Next time you see one then copy it down. There is mod code that auto-empties that db table, but since the last update it seems to not be functioning at 100%. But since it is functioning at 95% it is a bit of a bother.
