Track 200!
Ok, I had to go back and tweak some things, because I figured the 200th track should be exactly the way I want it.
Or...
The way I dun figgered it, I wan' it ta be raught good an' all.
Anyway, here it is:

AcidTrax0r took about 2 hours. This one took around 6. The quality of my output is directly proportional to hours spent (though not always the case.) Hours not to exceed 10 for a given track though, because then I start second-guessing what's good or not, and start fuX0rinG up things that shouldn't have changed etc. The exceptions being non-"electronica" styles (like the somewhat classical/newage-ish/Glassish things I've done.)
Anyway, the harshness you refer to is the distortion controls being turned all the way up. And you are mostly correct in that 2 out of the 3 303s are using sawtooth waves on that track. (Harshness still comes from distortion fx and the resonance being cranked.) That's what I was going for (though it isn't to everyone's taste obviously.) The newer track uses a square wave exclusively with no distortion and mostly low resonance. The thing is though, the 303 doesn't use a pure square wave. They approximate one by taking a downward sloping sawtooth waveform, and boosting the second half until it's pretty close to a square wave. It gives it that smooth/hollow sound. A pure square wave doesn't really sound like that at all. It's more of a sharp and hollow sound and a bit more "buzzy" for lack of a better term. I should make some demonstration waves or something. I actually like both types of square waves equally, but they can't really be interchanged. The 303 version sounds fairly close to a triangle wave, which sounds somewhat close to a sine wave, which is why your guess is pretty good.
Or in words that I know you love: The 303 square wave is NOT UNLIKE a triangle wave, which is NOT UNLIKE a sine wave in tonal qualities. (Though there are some differences, NOT UNLIKE comparing some apples to other types of apples.)
Anyway, yeah, I like the second track better too, but I was lacking the old style distorted acid-house type of track in my collection. It had to be done.
I may make a few modifications to the drum patterns in NewTeq132 to liven it up a wee bit in some spots, but it will remain basically the same track. If I do so, I shall post it. (42% chance I will actually do it though.)

That's not how I meant for you to interpret it. I thought AcidTrax0r needed to be mastered more because there was an instrument in it that was too bright or had too high of a volume and it seemed like it wasn't in the same range of levels that the other instruments were at.
I wasn't commenting literally that the sawtooth waves in the song were too harsh versus sine waves...
I was using metaphor to illustrate how I discerned between the two tracks...
