What games are you playing?

Post by enderzero »

Most recently I have been playing Chronotrigger on the Xbox snes emulator. Seems a little young so far. Anyone play that?

Played Need for Speed High Stakes 2 for Xbox for quite some time. Quite fun.

Been thinking about going back and playing Azurik again, but don't know if I want to commit the time.

Fooled around with DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball. Actually not as bad as I thought it would be. The casino is pretty realistic, but the volleyball is lame. It has the crown for the best video game graphics right now, though. Anyone seen screenshots for N.U.D.E. - some weird Seaman like A.I. game coming out soon on Xbox? Graphics look pretty impressive.

Soul Calibur 2 comes out here this month. Eagerly anticipating that.

I can't believe you guys are still playing counterstrike

Counterstrike came out in November 2000. Some other games that came out that month:

Daikatana
Tomb Raider Chronicles
Star Wars Demolition
Final Fantasy IX
Chicken Run

You realize Half Life came out in October of 1998! So did:

Starcraft
Space Station Silicon Valley
Metal Gear Solid
Tomb Raider 3
The Gameboy Color

A whole year before the Dreamcast came out.

Just amazing how long that game has stayed popular/playable.

What J3RK plays...

Post by R3C »

Splinter Cell PC
Transworld Surf XBOX
Quake 1 PC (With Tenebrae engine)
Started playing Raven Shield, but I don't like it much.
Jet Set Radio Future XBOX
Just got a copy of Mafia PC, so I might take a peek at that.
Ultima 8 PC
Syndicate PC
Pinball Fantasies PC
MegaMan 3 NES-EMU
Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask N64-EMU
And I'm currently in deliberation over which Sierra adventure game I want to start playing. I'm leaning toward the VGA remake of Quest for Glory 1, since I've only played the typie EGA version. (Which I prefer, but I need to play them all.

Now that there are some more gamers on here I'll ask again - has anyone played Chronotrigger? I am really into it right now. It seems geared a little towards a younger age group, but I am so far in I can't quit. Anyone know how big this game is?

I think I may play FF3 when I am done with this. Is the SuperNES the best platform for console style RPGs or what?!

Yo, Spidermonkey

I have almost completed the "Dark Side" missions in Enclave. I think they are better than the stupid light side.

I want PC enclave....
I've been stuck playing go to sleep at 8:30 so I can wake up at 4:00 to go to work.....
just like sleeeph used to do except I really do have to wake up at 4:00...
this leaves little time for gamery but i'd probably make time to play enclave again.
before I started working I was playing impossible creatures. That was pretty fun and a good diversion from single player aom.

I thought that looked fun as well. What is the gameplay like? You just build a bunch of weird amalgamations and then set them off against each other?

pretty much yeah.. You have henchmen that work like peons to get resources and build stuff. then you run around the area tranquilizing indigenous animals to get their DNA. Then out of all that DNA you can mix any two creatures and decide on which legs, arms, tail, head, etc to put on it and then you go fight like any other strategy game. What's cool about it is that if your enemy sends a bunch of electric-eel drangonfly things or something your way, you can just go to your lab and design something new and good at killing electric-eel dragonfly things...
I'd like to try it multiplayer sometime but apparently that requires multiple players... I only have one...

those lousy bastards!

I am once again without television...so not much gaming as of yet...but very soon indeed I will have the super xbox back up and running. I think I might by a gamecube as well. I can get one used with a memory card, Metroid Prime, Zelda, and Mario Sunshine all for under 200 bones. Zelda sounds fun...anyone actually played it?

As for PC games, I am so removed...just isn't the same on my notebook. I'll try firing up that Shogun game which I have around here somewhere I think.

Yo Drew! Glad you made it to the forum.

If you like Diablo, you should check out a little game called Dungeon Siege. Very cool game of the same genre that may or may not have been developed by someone that has been known to spend way too much time on this forum.

Check it out:

Buy it here and more info here

And a very cool forum it is indeed!!

Thanks for the links mate! Looks like a pretty classy game. And best of all.......theres a Mac version!!!!

Thats one thing that is great about Blizzard. Their CD's are hybrid's. Why other companies don't do this is beyond me.

So my PC is soon to be up and running and I am excited to be playing some new PC games. We need to set up some round the world crazy Multiplayer action.

Here are some games I am itching to play. Please let me know what other newer PC games are a must and if you can help out with my list.

Battlefield 1942
BF1942: Road to Rome expansion (don't have)
Unreal 2 (don't have)
GTA Vice City
Some good ol Q3 mods - what's hot?
Half-life 2 (I wish - the damn thing comes out 9/30 - the day I will probably leave)
Halo PC (when?)
Maybe some round the world Warcraft 3 or Age of Conquerors for ol times sake.
Doom/Quake remakes with DX8 (details Dustin?)

What else guys?

I'm definitely down for some bf1942 multiplay... keep me posted!

btw- Unreal 2 is utterly forgettable. I wouldn't waste time on that game. I played all the way through and I spent the whole time waiting for it to get good, and it never did....

I've been playing a bit of Rise of Nations lately. Havent done any multiplayer rounds yet, but I really dug the single player campaign mode.
