More Diablonizing...

Post by R3C »

SpiderMox0r now has the wonderful set of discs necessary to play Diablo 2 with us. We also designed him a nice necromancer that is around the levels that we are. I went and beat Baal, and am ready to start in the new iteration of the Rogue Encampment. So, when are we playing?

I may get around to installing El Diablo tonight. I will probably have consumed about a bottle of monkey merlot by the time everyone's ready to start playing though.

It's too late! I'm already half way through the bottle.
If this keeps up, I'll be opening the snake wine in no time.
Snake wine isn't as good as monkey wine.
In fact it's evil.

Installing now

Post by spidermonkey »

I haven't had to swap disks this much since playing cracked Shadow of the Beast on the Amiga.

Speaking of which, we should do some of that this weekend.
It may even get more than the 1.5 minutes alotted to Joyful Road last week.

for a second there, I thought I might not get through the strenuous video test segment. But in retrospect, I think it was my favorite part.

I could...

... really use some Psygnosis game playing. I drank a bottle of wine last night. Though it was that good Syrah that you sampled. My wine-rack is now full. I got some really nice wines, some nice wines, and some medium wines. I'm going to start another rack for lower wines.

And a rack after that for subwines?
I think your drinking of a bottle of nice syrah last night was quite justifiable given the number of baseball games you had to attend and the assorted other related events and little mewkies.

Diablo is totally not working... He's just "resting on his Laurels" as they say... He needs to further his career or something by going back to demon school or whatever I was very dissapointed with his performance in Lord of Destruction...and to think the game is named after that lazy bastard...

Yeah. He reminds me of this weight-lifting guy I know. Just sits around drinking and playing Diablo. Sometimes he comes over to the other house. He's got a pretty good existence, come to think of it... Anyway I don't think Diablo got accepted to the schools he applied to. He's still just sitting here not working. It also kind of reminds me of the thread "2316 basement action funtime," which was also a result of not working, if memory serves. Good job Diablo!

Yes...

Post by R3C »

... burner made images, then burned slower than maximum speed (I have a 48X I burned at 32X onto 48X discs.) They should have been fine. D2 is ancient. You know though, the newer CloneCD (Version 4.something) doesn't work as well as the old 3.x... The old one did all kinds of nifty correction that had to be enabled by region because it wasn't legal here. That version would copy anything, but I don't have it anymore. This one sucks a big fat spicy fork!

Well i play from a clonecd image of Diablo 2: LOD

Maybe it has somthing to do with daemon tools emulating safedisc, i havent actually tried burning.

Actually i belive i used aclohol 120, and had it write to CloneCD format.

you might try that.

... try a NoCD patch first. I don't want to install more burning software. I don't do this all the time anymore, so it's a big pain. I pretty much just pay for all my games now. I just want Mr. Choki to be able to play with us.

hey shouldn't we be diabloizing right now?

Post by Bill Drayton Jr. »

but instead we are all posting here... why? I bet it's my fault again... I've created a bit more interest in posting here and because of that I have prevented us from playing Diablo together...wow...yet another thing that is my fault....except it's not totally my fault because I'm not the only one posting...doesn't matter though...blame me anyway....
