I don't usually respond to telemarketing...but the phone salesmanship of this last call I had was terrific! So I had to listen... about carpet cleaning... You see... carpets...they get dirty...so you really should clean them...or they'll just keep getting more and more dirty...with dirt...and in some cases pet dander...

Pfft... jack knife... they call an angular out of control truck maneuver a jack knife. Probably because of its resemblance to a "jack knife"

Has anyone ever heard of a -POCKET KNIFE- referred to as a "jack knife" ?!?!?!?!?!

I didn't think so.

The more...

... I think about the term jack-knife, the more foreign the concept is. It's almost like I just made it up. Weird. I need to study this further. Any other terms like that? I actually started internally questioning as to whether that was a real term a second ago. :D

I think Jack-knife might be some kind of english english thing. Any Man-Jack who fails to see that better don his think-cap.

I could also use a beverage. I'm drinking the white tea though...
That might be a beverage.
The empty Louis Jadot pinot noir bottle next to me is making me wish that it was more full. No amount of optimism seems to fix that.
I still see the bottle as all the way empty.

Much Indian food buffet must be attending to soon we should do. I ate Indian the other day. It was okay. I paid 2000 Yen. I left still very much hungry.

I ate indian food the other day (in Malaysia). I paid 3 dollars. I could barely walk out.

but but Mayuri is still way better.

Cedars doesn't have a lunch buffet do they?

I think a jacknife is a way to jump into a pool.

Cedars is not in possession of the option for buffet lunch eating, no.
Mayuri is the master of sub 7 dollar eating multiple giant trays of assorted goodness.
That weird place over by the ChuckECheese building is always good for the 13.00 dinner buffet option. Indian food in a faux European setting with fountain and maybe some Christmas lights.
Most important of all. Remember that discussion we had about restaurants in basements not existing too much in America? There's a Tibetan/ Indian place on Broadway where you have to go through a short hallway then down some narrow stairs. The layout of the counter and everything is just like going into a Japanese basement restaurant. The food is pretty average though.
No buffet either.
