88oz in 5 minutes

I decided I would start training for the 1 gallon challenge by seeing how much water I could drink as fast as I could drink it.
I would have been able to drink the 88oz of water in faster than 5 minutes but my water was too cold and I got brain freeze multiple times while drinking and had to stop.
I can't imagine being able to drink another 40oz more right now - I feel kind of weird while at the same time feeling rather uncomfortable...Actually I don't think I feel that great now...I read some where that drinking a lot of water can cause electrolyte imbalances...

Yeah it has to do with the electrolites. Funny the acticle mentions people on E being affected alot by this.

yeah whatever...just what the hell is "drinking enormous amounts of water" eh?
is 88oz enormous? I don't think so...I'm still alive and I drank the water straight up!!!! whatever...damnable overreacting whatever the hells!

Who knows what the actualy lethal dose of water is. I think he was just making the point that it is possible. And from what I've read in the past, it is. I mean, e-ed up idiots do some stupid things sometimes. Maybe water just feels so great going down your throat, so you keep drinking it until it kills you. I've heard other, fairly ridiculous things. Maybe 88oz is totally safe for someone like you. Maybe the average LD is 103oz.
Everything is poisonous in the right amount. In fact, that's what poisoning is, too much of one thing, however small or large the amount might be for the particular substance.

What if you drink huge amounts with electrolytes in it - like Emerg-en-C?

It actually took quite some time to return to absolute normalization - like two hours really... it was just over 30 minutes before I had to weeezenate!
I think the key is to drink smaller amounts of water and wait for a little while before drinking more but 1 gallon in 1 hour would be extremely easy as you would only have to drink 2.1333oz every minute for the next 60 minutes...easy! I drank 17.6oz/minute
How about 8 oz every 1 minute? in only 16 minutes you would drink a gallon...that might be possible... or maybe 4oz every minute??? There must be a sweet spot...
