I've been meaning to tell you how much I like your new avatar. I was going to tack it onto another thread where I saw it last, but then thought, no I should make a new thread. Then I thought, no I'm too lazy to do that.

LOL, aspect changing wizards, what about GIANT MAPPY!
Thanks, I'm actually quite fond my new avatar, it came out well. Ender: the monkey was just
GIS. Also if you didn't put the two together, thats the admiral rank on there as well...

I figured as much (about the ranking).

Yes, I remember the Mappy Wars. Those will be in the history books.
The Mappy Wars. We should talk about the Mappy Wars in public places, (like old war heroes.) I'm sure at least some people would go look it up.

mappywars.com is available. We could talk about it for a while and then make a videogame... or we could just decide to make a video game and talk about that for a few years.

There is still a chance that donkey could come out before duke nukem forever, or maybe team fortress 2.
The brainy kid project never finished their remake of mule either, but somehow i bet they got farther than we did.

No that's the Admiral's original logo. You know what I think? We should just remake M.U.L.E. with D0nk3Y. We were getting way ahead of ourselves by thinking net-play, extra things to do in the pub, etc. We need to start out with a simple remake with better graphics that runs in Windows. That is actually not THAT big of an undertaking. Especially since we can EASILY reverse engineer the game logic using a C64 machine code monitor. Once we have that in place, perhaps we could start thinking about adding some free netcode like Kaillera (which is used in lots of emulators) to get some TCP games going. VERY little data needs to be sent and synchronized, so I doubt we'd have any problems using mostly unmodified code. I'll write music, do testing, and aid in any other design work that I can do. We have two graphics fellows. I think SpidMonX should do character art, and the map/Wumpus. I think the admiral should do auction, menu, and title art. That leaves the one person who never seems up to the task, and that would be any one of the lame, lazy ass mofuckin' coders we know.

I'd be on if I wasn't such a beat down lazy burnt out middle aged mofuckin' loozer teh bastard king ruler of the land of shattered dreams all the while drinking from the well of La Fin Du Monde...
Being the ruler of this kingdom makes for many problems getting Allen work done so I don't know if I can handle Allen & d0nk3y work. It's amazing I'm able to meet the bare requirements of the job even performing at a much less than full capacity software engineer... Lately I've been getting much better though - but most of the reason why is for fear of loosing my job.
I have been making progress though...but still - I don't know if I am ready...I think I need counseling...

You... "don't care?"
You know, I don't much care to work either, but I just have a fairly good mental blocking mechanism. I more or less just shut down half of my brain while I work, and let the half that doesn't mind, sit and work autonomously. It's extremely hard to work from home, and not be distracted if you ask me. That's probably the whole problem. When you physically go into work, you've made the effort of getting there, and once there, you kind of just settle in. If you're looking around the room at all the things you'd rather be doing, it's a little more difficult.

Monsieur Kane has passed away almost two weeks ago. There was an accident on the motor way. Apparently he was killed instantly.
Really I'm terribly sorry to be the one to tell you this.
