speaking of digital...I'm getting that crazy feeling again where I am considering abusing my Best Buy credit card...
I want a decent optical zoom, and decent res, don't really care if it is that large...so...got lots-o-options...actually don't want a tiny camera...but the camera has to come from Best Buy...would be willing to order it online...
Thinking about teh Canon A85...the S500 looks kind of cool too...whatchoo watchoo think Ryland?

I'll tell you what I think... You're a jerk of some kind. Leaving the before the people you brought to the Champagne Fest woke up. One of which had to call his wife to come and pick them up, and redistribute them to the proper locations. Hmmmm...

I think going with Canon is defintely the right move. Pretty much any compact digital is going to have a 3X optical zoom now a days. If you aren't even remotely concerned with size than defintely the A85 is the camera to get. It gets amazing ratings everywhere and at a fantastic price. Its only downside is that is a bit bigger than most people's pockets. The S500 is an awesome camera but you pay for its smaller size. You could save money by going with the 4megapixel version, the S410. It and the A85 are basically the same cameras in different housings. In my opinion the best ultra compact digi cam on the market is the
SD300, (
BestBuy) an upgraded S410 that is smaller, sleeker and faster cam that uses SD cards.

Here's one more:
True friends that really look out for one another and share a certain kind of compassion for the people that they consider to be close to them and always make an extra effort to add something positive to the ebb and flow of the world around their genuinely scrupulous selves...

Instead...

cool review of it here:
Canon S70 Review
7.1 mega pixel...3072 x 2304...kind of ridiculous...is cool to zoom in on stuff...can take 3 minute movies too at 320 x 200 or 30 second ones at 640x400...
Paid only $404 at Best buy as well...

I bought 2 extra $9 batteries for the S400 and they have worked just as well as the Canon one does.

listen hippie, ebb and flow is dandy, but it's hard to look out for friends who pull dissappearing acts.

Wait...am I being talked about behind my back? Err - I mean in front of my chest? You aren't talking about me in front of my chest again are you? If so in my defense - I wasn't right in the head...plus I said I was leaving anyway...even though had expired tabs but so far this year has been unbeleivably lucky for me...I don't think this year will be hard at all. I've had non-stop good luck since 1/1/05...ah yeah....

And that image wasn't a result of GIS, it was a result of me taking a photo of a t-shirt about 5 minutes after parting ways with Mr. Sparks in NYC about 1 hour after eating some Ben's pizza.
(that was GIS)
