That will be quite the electric bill. But on the plus side you won't have to pay for heat in the winter.

I'm thinking of going LCD soon. This big beige box I call a monitor, just doesn't fit with the decor here. :D I think I need something more modern looking. A black or silver flat panel should do just that.

I have wanted to make the jump for quite a while. The problem is that there are just too few 1600x1200 LCDs and they are still so damn expensive.

I still haven't seen an LCD that looks as nice as a CRT - even the new IMac LCDs are dissapointing and yeah there is no way I want to go below 1600x1200 unless it were on a laptop...at like 1600x1050.

Oh I got rid of the SGI monitors... The screens were too concaved and at 21" it's pretty noticable...Also, after I jacked all the settings for color, contrast, and brightness to the max the monitors were very dark...Plus they were incredibly blurry AND they could only refresh at 60hz at 1600 x 1200...so...they were suprisingly totally horrible big hunks of junk...I got two more Sony multiscan 400PSs to replace them...they are vertically flat but not horizontally...They are usable but can't compare to my two multiscan G400s which are flat screens and extremely clear at 16x12 @85hz...oh and brighter than I need them to be...Sadly they also can't compare to the two Iiyama's I have as well...I might just donate them to someone who has a super shitttay monitor - like my dad and sister...or sell them for $20 a piece and double my money...
