Well how about it? I hate to suggest the idea if I am not 100% but in fact I am only about 80-90% sure I will be able to. Regardless, I would like to got ahead and move forward with plans to play tonight. So I will just go ahead and suggest:
Friday, 7/16 10PM PST
which equates to Sat 7/17, 2PM
I should be home by then but it might be 10:30ish.
McNevin? J3RK? Sparkle?
Who else has got this sheeit? Spider? l2icks0r? Goemon?
Yo is there a cracked server scene for this? Sparkle - you don't have a key do u?
So I have been running the game in 1024 with everything mizaxed out. It runs totally fine. Maybe I'll try bumping it up. I have still never delved into the world of FSAA. Nor have I started VSyncing. Do you use in game settings for that J3RK?

I'm all for this damned playing. I played by myself last night, because I had a couple martinis and forgot that I asked you guys to text message me. Well guess what I noticed when I looked at my phone 10 minutes ago. A text message. (Only one person text messages me.) Admiral McNevin had a direct link to my phone. (For matters of security.)

Install the community pack though. There aren't any good onslaught maps in it, but there are a few good CTF and DM maps. I like that red planet onslaught level, and the desert one. We should do some assault runs, but with all of us on the same team too. I like squad play, and since there aren't enough of us to effectively play teams that way, we should play against hard killer bots or something.

I was unable to play last night anyway. Forget about Thursday nights in this town. Or blackout and then forget more likely.
Beeeph? AgentBos? You guys have this?

SpiderJerky won't install it. He doesn't like to play a fun game with Ralph.

Now that I read the rest of your post
I don't use AA or AF unless I'm playing something like Quake 3 where it will NEVER affect performance. On those games, I can crank those all the way up, and it still flies.
Here's a little tip:
ALWAYS LOCK V-SYNC IN WHATEVER WAY YOU CAN!!!!!!
I lock it on in the ATI control panel, and enable it in a game if necessary. Never play without V-Sync. There is nothing smoother than a game that refreshes when the monitor refreshes. No torn edges, no erratic speed. Just silky smooth goodness.
MMMMMMMMMMMMM delicious V-SYNC.
Also, when you have the option, use triple buffering. It makes things that much smoother.
I can't stand tearing, or any imperfections in my frames. It drives me fucking bananas!
SMOOTH, that's the name of the game!
Also, when you're playing in 1280+ there really isn't much of a need for AA. It does look a little better, but not enough to warrant any drop in performance.
AF looks really good, especially when turned way up, but again, if it causes my frames to drop below sync, then it gets turned off.

I like all of my games to look as smooth as a new console fighting game.

I'll play ut2004 with you when you'll play battlefield something-or-other...

Which is probably also the day that Jo2fro2 returns to the forum...

I already said I'd play Battle Field, but I want original discs, and I probably would want to play one of the more modern versions like Desert Combat, or Vietnam. Wolfenstein aside, I don't like bombs on sticks, or old Russian pistols, or any other crinky low-tech weapons. The only reason Wolf gets around this for me, is it's excellent gameplay (single player,) and it's fictional zwackery.
Now where the hell is Jo2 Fro2??
I'll play, but I'm going to have to buy it. Simply because I'm not hunting down all the discs, patching, cracking, finding keys, and all the stupid crap that goes along with it. It must be cheap by now.
Now then, when do you want to borrow my discs?

I actually don't have it yet...I need it. I couldn't play tonight anyhow though because ED9K is coming over. We're gonna watch the Mitch Hedburg DVD and drink Guiness.
I've opened my home unto him for the evening, therefore, I cannot.

You god damned house opener. I suggest you have ED9K stop by the local software distributor, and pick it up. Then you will watch your program, drink beer, and then join us when you're all drunken and easy to kill!!!!

I will play fo freaking evah <--- To be read in Mr. Wong voice.
I can play until whenever. My start time is not guaranteed. Somewhere in the 10:00-11:00 range.
Hey Choki: perhaps I can bring my CDs for you tomorrow.

Oh, I nearly forgot. I only play on pretty levels. Either outside pretty levels, or inside pretty levels. Just no dumb looking repetitive levels. I like CTF on Facing Worlds Classic, and Facing World 3. I like the glacierish Assault map, and the old wrecked city map. etc. I don't play on the tops of buildings. Not cool looking enough. HEEE HEEEEEEE HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE <--- To be read in Mr. Hall voice.
I should probably serve, but I don't want the responsibility. We'll figure that out when we play though. I'll have to open the port and all that, if I do serve.

Count my lame ass in.
I have quite a few questions, however:
1)Where do I get this community pack thinguhmajig?
2)What types of communication technology do we use to coordinate initial game setup and connection? Instant message? Telephone? The Lair?
3)How many times will Enderzero scream "That's bullshit" throughout the course of the night/early morning?
4)I'm downloading the game as we speak, what kind of potential problems will I run into having a crisp, clean, downloaded copy?
5)Why won't spiderchode take full advantage of playing high speed, highly immersive war games with his distant curry eaters?
6)That's it.
Assuming all goes well, I should have downloaded all 4 gigs of this monstrosity in 4.4444444444 hours. ETA - 22:45

just out of curiousity....
How many of you guys have Call of Duty installed?
I think Ramjet would be down for teh multiplay if we tossed in a game of CoD. He's on Mac, and he's only got the demo of UT2k4...

3) I estimate 17-18 times.
5) No games of immersive warlike nature on my computer and time sucked up by wacky art projects of one sort or another...
6) good.
7) I'm going to make and eat some curry in your honor. I'll try and feed some of it to your avatar. I hope he's hungry.

just tried playing a little UT2K4 and was having some weird control lockups...
it runs smoothly... 64fps or whatever, but every 15 seconds or so, I lose my control response and it goes off and moves around as if my keystrokes got all backed up....
I just updated to the latest catalyst drivers, but I don't think this is a video-related problem...
...anyway... I'm gonna try to work on it a little more before game-time.

Happens all the time.. online or playing against bots locally
Weird though, because I didn't get it with the demo...

I'm here.
Let's play.
I can't be playing until like 2 am or anything.
I have social functions to attend at some point.
Maybe I can take a break to go make the rounds around midnight.
Let's play.
