Back from the Phoenix Festival

I camped here just a little off to the right behind the barn for 4 days - it was amazing...
Mount Adams was always visible and there were hardly any clouds. The weather was sunny the whole time yet it never got too hot. The nights were cool but not cold so I wore shorts the whole time.
The people were actually really cool and friendly so I met a lot of them. I was part of a camp with about 20 other people from Seattle it was the second largest non-festival related camp in the whole place that I saw. The biggest was some kind of home made PVC geodesic dome tent the size of a house.
There were seven stages and most all of them were using Mackie and some JBL and sounded very clean.
I continued my recent "moderation" trend and turned down a lot of stuff and never got out of control although I got close to the edge once. The place was like zombo.com though - you could get anything you wanted there. There was all the standard stuff plus some things I hadn't even heard about and within our camp a couple people were doing something I would never do... I did have 3/4 of a beer though on the 14th day from abstaining from alcohol. I did it mostly because I was having trouble sleeping - like most people. I slept maybe 8 hours total the entire time and thought that maybe a beer and some sleeping pills would put me under - it didn't work. I Am going to continue to not drink now though mainly for weight loss. Even with switching to a high carb diet of MREs, oatmeal, and meal replacement shakes(from Atkins) I lost nearly 5lbs bringing me down to 178lbs & 34" waist since July 1st.
Overall it was the best experience I have ever had at one of these things although it will be difficult to find something like this again but I am hoping that this one will be comparably as cool...
