X800 has been ordered. Just got the Pro version. I didn't think it was worth $100 to enable 4 additional pixel pipelines. My CPU would be the bottleneck with the XT anyway, so I think the Pro is going to push about as many pixels as my system will allow. Sending my 9800 Pro to Dr. Aubuchon. Looks like everyone will be Far Cry, Doom 3, HL2, STALKER ready as of the middle of next week. Now we just need to organize some online game gatherings.

I don't play such stuff. How about some Dungeon Siege? Or UT2004, or Cycles 3D, or System Shock 2? Or how about Quake 3, I'm always up for that. I just had it installed, but I uninstalled it again, so I'd have to put it back. You know, if everyone wants to play some kind of war game, I'd be up for Wolf ET, or RtCW. I've never played those MP.

If everyone starts playing all those other wacky war-games, I'm gonna crawl into the heatin' duct.

UT2004 is indeed a good multiplay (although technically its still a war game... of the future!)

No. Actually, I'd classify it as a sports title. (Because of the ladder matches, announcers, and Tournament being in the title)

There are some "recreations" of war scenarios in it though in the assault mode.

I like the sound of UT2004! Only problem is I don't seem to have it. I have heard so many good things about it, maybe I will just buy it.

McNevin: do you have CCD version 3.x? The one where you have to do a region crack to enable the extra correction and such? It works so much better than 4.x, but I don't have a copy anymore. It would make a perfect copy of anything I tried. 4.x is a pile of crap, and won't copy anything. Bleh...

I may have that CCD 3, but I use Alc 120% these days. Which i need a better crack for.

Yep... it's at mum's house. It's got Dino-Eggs and Devil's Crush scores on it too. We NEED a god-damned whiteboard plugin for the forum. Then we could post scores to old games. I suppose we could do it with text, but it's just not the same.

The X800 is working out quite well. I can now play every game I have in maximum detail at very high resolutions. I think Far Cry is the only game I have that ever drops below V-Sync on occasion. Definitely a very nice card. I wish my monitor supported resolutions above 1600x1200. I may have to remedy that sometime. I could probably play all of my games in 2048x1536 with no problems. I need some demanding games to play on it now.

Well there aren’t any taxing games right now, so you should play battlefield Vietnam wile you wait for doom3.

yes I have those - I actually have like 8 DVD-Rs that I can't use since I have a +R only. I don't really have a lto of diskspace so it would probably be best for me to burn the games anyway.
