Step aside Keg-O-Rator...there's a new encased alcoholic beverage dispensing device in town...
!!!THE BAR MONKEY!!!
The Bar Monkey, simply put, is a vending machine that serves mixed drinks. My plans include housing 16 reservoirs which currently contain the following ingredients:
- Vodka
Rum
Tequila
Whiskey
Gin
Amaretto
Triple Sec
Kahlua (or coffee liqueur)
Midori (or melon liqueur)
Orange Juice
Pineapple Juice
Cranberry Juice
Sour Mix
Cola*
Tonic*
Grenadine*
The bar monkey can built for less than $100 (not including the LCD monitor or containers of alcohol).

Seth and a friend built a really fancy version of that. Not as good of a name though. (It was the Drink Master 2000.) It had buttons for paging through a ton of drinks. It had reservoirs for the different alcohols and mixers. It had huge fast solonoids to start and stop the flow. The top was clear with clear reservoirs, so you could see bubbles float up when the liquids were dispensed. It was controlled with microcontrollers. The liquid area was cooled by large peltier coolers. The thing looked incredible, and rather Sci-Fi movie-contraption-esque. It's a good idea all around. I think there should be an override switch for doctoring the amounts of fluids expended. Say you were conserving liquor one day, you could pour skimpy drinks. Say you want to get someone tipsy, crank up the liquor values. I suppose they could have coded that in if they wanted, but it was a project for a class, so I think they did the bare minimum for the drink-menu.
Yes and...

if I remember correctly it also did real time cooling on the fly of the alcohol using some kind of cooling elements that the lidquid ran over...

It was a very cool box. I always thought they should have used metal pipes in the primary dispensing stages though. I suppose once a bit of liquor flowed through it though, it didn't taste plasticy anymore (if it even did in the first place.) Not sure.

Ohh snap Mahhh!
I'm not sure how I'm gonna design it to look. I'm considering dedicating a full day to consuming large amounts of psychotripping drugs and building it. Hopefully when I come out of it, it'll work.

Very impressive beeeph. Is this your own invention entirely? Did Seth ever try to do anything with the DM2k?

there must be hundreds of variations of this thing built. I wish I could call this idea mine, for it is grand!

Excellent work you little boffins.
But shouldn't it be the Monkey Bar?
Good taste in mixers too. I would love to see this come to fruition. Someone has to complete with the I2icks0r's drunken tomfoolery (Beside Drucken Bos).
