This could be a big one. I'll get the ball rolling with:
"A proven fact" - a bit redundant eh? Of course if it is a fact it is proven. Either say "it's a fact" or "it's proven."
"I literally ______ (something not at all literal)" - for example, "I literally kicked his ass up to his shoulders." No. You figuratively kicked his ass to his shoulders.
my all time biggest one:
"I could care less" - People use this when they don't care. What they should say is "I couldn't care less." If they could care less then they do care.
More?...

I am in a parenting class right now, and one of the trailer dwelling inbreds actually used the word "Flustrated" in all seriousness....
Irregardless is a good one........
But my vote would have to go to "Dude".

'... bear fruition' - Arthur Scargill, miner's union leader.
Get back down your hole Art.
'graphic' used to mean any of 'gory, sickening, disturbing, sexually stimulating, violent, distasteful'. It's always used in the sense 'I have seen this and it hasn't done me any serious harm, but I'm not going to let you see it in case it does you serious harm'.

mr. *, u have just identified a difference between british and american english... not a misuse.
i find discussion-orientated forums most stimulating. better than a string of unrelated posts
and a definition-
orientated link

Another misuse of English by Americans that I find highly annoying is calling English people and things 'British' as if the woad-daubed hut-dwellers at the periphery had the slightest claim to inclusion.
If you say to a Scot, 'You're British, right?', they'll debate you in that dogged way they have for twenty minutes. Say that to an English person and they will most likely say "Yes", and then hold you in contempt ever after.

hmmmm, seems to me that calling an Englander or Scot British is a lot like calling a Californian, Washingtonian, or New Yorker American.

... symphonic bastard!!! Well, you'll be available Sunday for the daytime festivities anyway, so maybe you can come over after that. I got you a god-damned surprise, but now I'm going to ruin it. I got you a package of HAW-FLAKES!!!! I just stopped at Uwaji and saw them sitting near the floor in their little case. They seemed lonely so I bought them for you.
I bet you can't wait to get your hands on these HAW-FLAKES!!! I bet you won't even be able to go to the symphony, because you'll be thinking about the HAW that you're missing out on. Oh, there's another one of those Englishnesses
your and you're. I HATE that one nearly as much as I love the great taste of HAW!!!! The HAW-FLAKES look as though you should light them and get away. I wonder if they have a report. Anyway, they'll be at my house, waiting for you. I also got a pouch of My-Green-Tea-Hoji-Cha. I was going to open that up too. Can you get some more of that TiKwanYin (sp?) by Sunday? If you get the same amount, I'll pay you for half again. I'm completely out of it.
HAW!!!!
Stop all the hemmin' and a hawin'.

99cent haw flakes. I hate them.
My hatred of them would almost distract me from going to the symphony, but it's Mstislav Rostropovich night and I'm as excited about that as Ryland is about his new-found heavy-metal buddies. It also makes me as happy as haw flake smake me angry.
Since when does My Green Tea make hoji cha? I may make it to the tea store for the kuanyin sunday before the gathering of stuff. I'm also running out of all kinds of tea.
One thing you could do is try to stack those haw flakes in groups of five.

I just now realized the irony of the title of this topic. I hate it when people accidentally type "the" instead of "that!"
YEAH!!

I wasn't sure if it was intentional or not... Frig those people who use the instead of that... Frig them to hell...
Anyway, I really did buy you a package of HAW-FLAKES. You can do with them as you see fit. Maybe light them and get away?
There were a few new types of My-Green-Tea there. I can't believe the price of Sen-Cha... It's 15 while all the other types are ~7. Probably since it is so fine that you can get many brewings or something. They charge by the potential cup maybe. Or maybe it's because there is less space being taken up by twigs, rice, and perhaps HAW.

haw njfa'des 99cent. Their mjsw'. My their hatred would tear off almost with passage to l'accord, but to the night it's Mstislav Rostropovich and I'm as it djegej'retaj for this as Ryland it is for its recently aneyrece'ntes heavy-metal friendly does make eytyhisme'no also so much as a long time as haw the flake smake my y. d'alors when the green tea makes it cha hoji? I then l'établissement to do it with tea for Sunday kuanyin before the collection of the substance. I'm while running also outside of all the products of tea. A thing that you could make is test for qu'il accumulates the these flakes I haw with the groups five.
How's my misuse of English now?
...You tell me do things. I done runnin'...

Wow, I just got the magic extra-large Ramune (zot-style) candy. (Or the Queen Ramune if you will.)
Now what about these HAW-FLAKES? Eels! Did you, or did you not masquerade as the Queen Ramune candy and shock 3nd3r with this wrench?
Remember, there is nothing funny about the misuse of HAW-FLAKES.............. or English..... whatever....

I think we may have ruined a perfectly good thread.
Nonetheless, the world must be made aware of the evils of haw.
Haw flakes will destroy your life.
Cubyrop, on the other hand...
But...

... they're made from delicious HAW and water. Though some Cuby-Rop does sound quite delicious right about now. Oh Cuby Rop, you are a delicious and refreshing confection. Now where are my HAW-FLAKES? I'm gonna get tore up!!!
If I have to abduct a perfectly good thread in order to get some zwackery going on in here, then god-damnit, that's what I'm going to do!!! There's more zwackery at the end of all these normal ones, than there is in the zwackerish threads... Ooooh, there's another good one. Misuse of then and than. I hate that one too. Jerks!!!! I will misuse it more then you will by than.
