Anyone have any unique or simple home remedies for strep throat/throat infection? Listening to Andy Griffith's latest album "I Love to Tell the Story: 25 Timeless Hymns" works great for temporary relief, but I need something a bit more long term, cuz this sunofabitch is hurtin!

I'm not sure, but one of these might help:

- gargle with hot, salty water
- try the old classic : honey, real lemon juice, hot water, whiskey, ginger all mixed together

Heat up a knife until its read hot and then touch it to your armpit. It takes the throat pain away with the quickness!

Yes! I've officially been diagnosed with Mono! Which means sheer pain for the next 6 weeks with no treatment or medication! Yes!

I can't wait to tell my girlfriend she's got it too!
And then I'm gonna let her suck me off

|2ICKS0R, I have a question for you, and anyone else who has an opinion.

If an advil bottle's directions state:

"adults: take 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours. If pain does not respond to 1 tablet, 2 tablets may be used, but do not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours, unless direct by a doctor"

how many can I REALLY take?

well....

if you ate half of one of those 500 caplet bottles you would probably die... or for a 145lb ]3eeeeefs0r you would probably only be able to take 210 200mg tablets.

When I was recovering from my last major collection of injuries I was taking about 9 200mg tablets a day...

So Beeephy McSleeeph... how's the mono goin? Why is the joke that mono is just like being really bored? You found that, "Hey baby, I've got mono" is a successful pick-up line?

Beeeph is MIA.

I try to call him weekly, but he never returns my calls.

The last time i saw him i had to travel to seattle to hang out with him, when he lives a little over an hour away.

His mom even called me and asked me if i have heard from him.

I havnt had any contact from him in 4 months.

Beeeph... answer the telephone.

His last post was exactly one month ago.

Maybe you should just call him up and pretend to be an old lady in need of computer training. Say there is something wrong with your keyboard and then when he comes over hit him over the head with it. Or you could just hang out when he gets there, but it might be more fun to hit him over the head with a keyboard.

HAha!!!

That's funny...

check this recipie out for homemade Pedialyte:

3 cups boiling water
1 tablespoon clear Karo Syrup
Pinch baking soda
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Very similar to what Goemon posted eh? Basically this will fix dehydration in a person...of course the whiskey part of what goemon said in his mixture is going to make it less effective than if it wasn't part of the ingredients...
