Niseko is rockin. Waitin or the peak to open tho. Probably doin a 2 day avalanche course this weekend.

All the pics except 2 (the monkey with the glasses) are from the digital camera. I havent scanned any others and wont be soon since they are in America.

What do other people think?

What's the deal with the Buddha Park - are they made out of cement, or did somebody carve all of those? If it's all carving, there must have been a lot of stone dust lining somebody's bogey holes...

I read a book about Chu Chi and suffered horrible claustrophobia for the duration of the book. You actually went down those awful holes??

I got through them and I thought they were great. I'll have to go back through if I wanna name my favorites. I was pleasantly surprised you were able to take so many shots of ruins without including other tourists in the frame; good work!

And no I didnt get thru all of them, i got to the bus ride, and then clicked on the index, just to see where I was. Then I got overwhelmed, when I realized I had only scratched the surface.

But the hundred I actually saw were great, i cant believe that you fit in that tunnel.

We took a short trip in a "cyclo," a comfy seat attached to the back half of a bike.

Maybe spidermonkey can help me with some of Ocean's quesshons.

- The sculptures in Buddha Park are made out of cement. If I remember correctly, they were all made specifically for the park in the 1950's. Therefore they obvioulsy are not ruins...but still very cool.

- While we did not drink any frog wine, we did eat bbq-ed frog legs in Angkor that I found pretty tasty. Kinda like chicken (although hopefully not vietnamese chicken).

- Not too much in the way of health trouble. We were both really sore after the trip to Cu Chi and I had occasional stomach aches, but certainly nothing along the lines of horror stories you hear.

- Hmmm, well I didn't really take too many pictures of people at all. I tend to try to avoid pics with people in them. There are certainly beautiful women around (although whether the percentages rival Japan is up for debate - I tend to think not) but there are also many youngins, especially when it comes to selling you cold drinks.

spidermonkey, that's funny. If you look at his business website, that picture of Miyajima certainly seems to be hinting at the sale of illicit dolphin meat. But it's not quite as funny as the series of you donating your glasses to monkey science.

Monkeys are little bastards. I haven't let one get near me since my ancestors stopped shagging them several generations before my Grandma Shaw. Monkeys bear long-term grudges against humanity, and they'll hit back any way they can.

The Buddha Park is indeed cool. I like the guy pulling the grasshopper's back leg...
