How was everyone's holiday season?

What was your favorite gift?

What did you do on NYE?

Anyone already break their new years resolution?

How about some holiday anecdotes?

As for me, the holidays were pretty quiet. I had Christmas dinner by my lonesome at a bar in Jiyugaoka. Prime rib, lobster salad, and a bunch of other goodies buffet all you can eat style. Watched the Bengals get run down by St. Louis while I mowed. Good fun to watch some football.

My favorite gift (boy I got soooooo many it is hard to choose one  ) will go to my pops for buying me a sweet bmx bike that I get to look at a picture of for 6 months before riding. Thanks also to my mom, Jaime and Patrick for their thoughtful gifts.

NYE consisted of watching a bunch of fun Japanese fights on TV with Yasu and Damian and then racing to Rokakudai Heights to count down to 2004 with London Boots (and Patrick and Naomi). Unfortunately less than a minute after midnight I dropped my digital camera and it broke. Happy new year...don't expect to see too many new pics on my site for a while. We then went to a shrine near by where I proceeded to get a "highest prosperity" rating for the new year. From there it was a rambunctious walk back to Patrick's for some party games before meeting back up with Damian at Womb where Plastikman was rockin the house.

Everyone else...?

Were quite nice. Spent much time with the fam, had Dorian on Christmas eve and Christmas morning. He got quite a haul! Spoiled little guy.

No new year's resolutions to break, but had a very nice time sitting in our new crib wrapping my arms around my little family. Erin went to a party earlier in the evening and Dorian and I just chilled at the house eating junk food. He overdid it and ended up puking like I used to!

News of stupendous proportions (for me anyway) will be on it's way soon.

Hope everyone is healthy and happy, good luck in the new year!

Just coasted the whole holiday. Read a few books for entertainment value and did family stuff. Got a real nice puffy vest from the ol' ball-n-chain that I really dig and has come in handy with Seattle's surprise cold snap.
NYE was uneventful, played poker with friends for drinks, went on the roof for fireworks and crashed....

That sucks that you had Christmas dinner alone Ry, I've done that a few times, not fun....

I have given up red meat for the new year....I am strictly a fish, chicken, pork, and turkey man from here on out, but damn some of mom's meatloaf would be good right now.....

 Went skiing over the holidays. 27th till the 3rd a mixed bag but being Japan it was like cat skiing for a week. Why pay the price of cat skiing when you can duck a rope here.

Xmas roasted a pork with gravy and vegies a little rice for the wife. Opened my gifts I got 9 new pairs of undies, was that a hint.

New Years was spent at Tracks bar at Goryu. Good crowd, good buddies and too much liquior. There are 2 good choices now in Hakuba snoed-inn now re-opened and Tracks which is larger and the import beers are cheap. 500 for a VB tons of good beer plus the draft stuff.
 :wtf:

Ahhh, the holidays...

Got a few good items...not much this year as the cash flow seemed to be low for most everyone. Did get a nice new Winchester 30-30 lever action from the old man...can't wait to shoot at some targets! :D
Emily and I spent New Years at home and watched the Space Needle go up like a roman candle from the safety of our home. Have to say that we had a blast though. Got totally sauced on screwdrivers and champagne! Good times. Then it was off to Vancouver for the weekend. had a great time up there. Really relaxing. Went to the Roxy on Friday night and proceeded to get totally trashed. Again, good times.
I hope everyone else had a good start to 2004. Damn, I can't believe another year has gone by. Here's to friends of old, and friends of new. Happy New Year to all!

SpeedyMcCricket - Naa man, it was cool. Xmas ain't such a big deal over here and it hasn't been for me for the last few years as well. Glad to hear your first Christmas as a happy family went well.

Fattys - Sorry I couldn't make it back up that way man but I was house sitting for a buddy in a sweeeeet pad in Roppongi. Hope you had a good time all the same. Is "Tracks" Nofakie's bar? I take it Mitch is behind the "Snoed-inn?"

Buzzers - good to hear, good to hear man. Reminds me of some wild nights in Van-city. What a cool town. Thanks man.

McN76 - Damn dude you got a good haul. My rip of SW:KotOR doesn't work. As soon as you create a character it freaks out and says there is something wrong with the disc (yeah there is something wrong...it ain't there). Too bad cuz I hear the game is cool. Lookin forward to seein that Golf with a wicked paint job. What year? Does it have big bumpers? Sounds fun to get into watercooled VW modelling.

Its like an 86 golf... it can be modeled in one of two ways: Stock, or Tuned.

I was thinking I might do a mix of the two. The tuned version has ground effects, and better wheels and fast and the furious decals. I think I might make it mostly stock, and add the alloy wheels and stuff. Try to make it kinda like my first 84, blue interior, and black outside, with red trim.

Hmmmm, yes it would appear to be an 86 or 87. The side skirts and fender flares are good but the early A2 bumper is not my style. If you were a true model mastar you could craft somesort of big bumpers. Now what would be cool. The griill is scary. Is there one that has a VW symbol? Is that supposed to be a standard euro grill? I do like the Fuba antenna though.

Lookin forward to seein the finished product.

How did you get the URL to the large picture, every time i tried the window closed.

What they didnt show on the Website, was the stock variation of the model. It has a much better looking grill.

Much better grill. Don't forget to paint the VW symbol black for an authentic GTi.

I am using Firebird. You are right, it seems to close as soon as you right click in IE though.

Damn, I was just thinking how cool it would be if I had some scanned pics of my Jetta. Alas...
