just wondering if anyone has a liteon 411s and has used princo media with it. mainly the dvd-r 4x. replies on the drive or the media would be great.

Do you already have the drive? Why did you pick this drive in particular? It looks like a pretty typical drive, I'm sure it would be okay. But you could probably find a better drive.

Newegg has the 811 for only $18 more.

411 is 4 X 4 X 4 X 2 X 40 X 24 (+R,+RW,-R,-RW,CDR,CDRW)

811 is 8 X 4 X 4 X 2 X 40 X 24

Dual format is good. You definitely don't want a Dash only drive because it is on the way out. I would snatch that 8X burner though.

I don't know anything about that particular media. Dash-R is usually a bit cheaper than Plus+R but +R is the emerging standard and is faster.

Let me know which one you get. I was reading some magazine the other day, Pc magazine I believe, and they had a list of the top 10 burners.

Cant say much for that magazine, but if you see it in a store you might thumb through it real quick.
