Monkeys of Thailand

Post by spidermonkey »

So right now Ender and I are in the little town of Lop Buri. There's nothing too extraordinary about this place except that it has a resident population of monkeys that hang around at a couple of the temples. This morning we went to take some monkey pictures. This was pretty cool until a little monkey decided to try on my glasses. Then a bigger monkey decided to take the glasses from the first monkey. After a while of being looked through and chewed on, they finally fell apart.
No more glasses.
Let that be a lesson to you all.

But it is obvious that sigma team has very little to no presence in this city. Dead birds and caged squirrels have been spotted on the streets. The Monkeys are in full control here.

They were just trying to be friendly to their leader and things got a little out of hand.

... insubordinate monkeys. You should have them buy you some new glasses. The monkeys over there have loads of cash. It's a well documented fact. :D Not like those penniless mythical koala bears.

Yeah... Ryland and I were thinking that maybe you, Ivan and I should drive over there, demand more money than the glasses were worth, and then spend it on something else like food or rent.
It worked out ok last time...

Ok, the monkeys and I have talked it over. They needed the lenses from my glasses to build some kind of death-ray. They wouldn't specify what it was going to be used for, but as long as it's a death-ray it's ok with me.

... monkeys are greedy. If they find out they can make a Quad-Death-Ray, well.... that could be bad. They might be able to zap you to the moon, where you will be spanked with moon-rocks. And we all know how unpleasant that can be. :D

wait wait wait...if we are against the monkeys AND Sigma team, then who are we?

Maybe it was a splinter cell there in Lopburi, or maybe they thought Jonathan was a Sigma Spy trying to infiltrate their organization. Any way, we can't let this throw our entire mission into upheaval.

Monkeys = good. Sigma = bad. 'nuff said.
