It will be here in a week or two... Weeeeee!!!! I'm tired of using a laptop in a reclining situation, trying to keep it off of cloth (for thermal reasons,) trying to type that way, etc. I also like all the nice audio apps showing up on it. It's really turning out to be a cool device. So, I needed one. They're still scarce around here, so I just ordered from Apple.

Mine shows up on the 21st. Damned long wait! I normally don't care about waiting for things like this these days, but for some reason I'm totally antsy on this one. Plus I gave my iPod Touch to me wife, so I can't play Swords & Sworcery right now which is WAY LAME!!! Grab that game now Admiral!!! You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. It's an adventure game, and has pulled me in like Another World, Flashback, and the like. Definitely a 10 of 10 sort of game. I bought the sound track too it was so good. (and that was on the iPod. I can't wait to play the "big" version!)

Also, if you ever feel like making top-quality acid tracks in a user-friendly way: http://audiorealism.se/technobox2/index.htm

Scratch that! Bought a Black 32-Kajigger WiFi version at Frys a couple of minutes ago, and cancelled my Apple.com order. Woot! The screen is delightful! There's a teensy weensy eensy bit of backlight leakage, but very very negligible, and otherwise better than my monitor for my main PC I think. Just syncing apps and such now. WeeeHaaaawww!!!

This thing is effin' awesome! Swords and Sworcery is a MILLION times better on a large screen. The Korg iMS20 is AMAZING, Technobox 2 is nicer, and I've got a MIDI control surface app for it now for controlling instruments with it. (I'll be able to use it with my modular once I'm finished building it.) YeeeeHaaaawwwwww!!!!

Quite happy with this device!

Got the second Trigon, and have nearly located the third! Where are you at Admiral? Something I didn't learn until yesterday, is that if you're in combat with a Trigon, if you hold down the shield button, your life will slowly recharge. Works best at the beginning of the fight when the Trigon is powering up.

Me and logfella just returned with the Tome. Wish I could say that I have played more. Damn awesome game though thanks.

I also have a tiny bit of light seepage around the screen, but I think they all do. Apple said it would go away when the glue dries, but I think that is a smoke up the rear port answer, if you ask me.

Ooooohhhhh.... Serial or parallel? :D HEE HEE HEE

Still looks nice to me! Now I'm just waiting for them to release an untethered break for 4.33. I was of the opinion that I didn't want to deal with all that, but.... DOSBox, what can I say? :D I've been following LifeHacker on such developments. I figure if those guys think it's safe enough, then cool. They've steered me through all my HackinMacs well enough. :shades:

Me too! I love all those sites. I tried to get wife to read Jezebell instead of her usual sources for Hollywood tripe, but she wasn't totally into it. (I don't think she meshes with the blog-style.) I don't either really, but LH and Kotaku are too good not to read.

I'm a little miffed by the new gawker redesign, but classic view is manageable. I read lifehacker/gizmodo daily, and Kotaku at least weekly.

I have them all in my Pulse account on the iPad, you should checkout Pulse!

Or better yet, read about it on lifehacker!
